One trick I tried was using watered down brown or gray shades of acrylic paint in lieu of stain. I wanted to create a similar project but didn't want to buy a big can of staining stuff, since it was a one-time project. It worked surprisingly well. 🙂

This is probably a silly question, but how do you always cut the vinyl straight before or after cutting? I can never cut it straight and then the edges of my vinyl stencil are a pain to line up on my board. So basic, yet I am struggling lol

    • @woodsongaleinteriors7999

I use a ruler. I line my ruler up with the edge of the stencil and I un my blade down the ruler. Works great! I've been doing it so long I dont need a ruler anymore 😊 but that's how I did it!

Wow. How do UA-cam creators not snap or go off every half hour with people like this in the world...jesus christ. The people in her comments cannot be real people. I can’t imagine anyone behaving like this ESPECIALLY when this talented woman so generously shared her entire creative process FOR FREE. Here in Atlanta there are stores that sell these signs for $400 and up and if I asked them a single question about the production they would look at me like an insane person. Most people keep this knowledge to themselves and ignore social media questions to daydream about more and more ways to capitalize on their audiences/trade yet this kind soul used precious minutes of her life to share the wealth and even answer questions for ungrateful people who were apparently raised by wolves and have the audacity to comment about how there is too much ‘chatting’ or some other unsolicited critique of the video or of her as a person. I usually wouldn’t waste my time on a rant comment like this but my blood is boiling. This comment section is the equivalent of selflessly offering food to a starving person with zero means of buying their own only to have that person go out of their way to let you know what they would’ve preferred their free meal to have been- oh and also maybe you should smile and wave the next time you’re feeling charitable because all of that talking like some kind of decent civilized person is just not my style. What the ____ is wrong with people. Anyway, thank you for sharing this, you truly just saved me from spending so SO much money on holiday decor. 💌

Miranda, I have to agree wholeheartedly with you. What is wrong with all these negative people. I do believe it shows a lack of proper upbringing. In my family, we were taught from a very young age ... if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all. Shame on you "negative Nancy's"!!!
