We are a specialist NHS Foundation Trust that provides community, mental health and learning disability services to the people of Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. The Trust also provides some medium secure (forensic) services to the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber.
Over 1 million people live in Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield across urban and rural communities from a range of diverse backgrounds. We aim to match the community's needs with locally sensitive and efficient services.

We also work closely with local authorities (social care) and with other government departments and voluntary organisations. Brilliant talk from a brilliant woman. Her examples of interactions with healthcare professionals are just as relevant in mental health hospitals and community work as physical health care settings. Hopefully, her words will be remembered for many, many years to come.

There's a lot in this short video, from Positive Psychology to physical activity as a way to lift moods. I hope SWYPFT will allow people to try some of these options, even if their GPs won't prescribe them.
