Beautiful plane
Honestly I'm starting to hate the 737. It is the puffer-fish of airliners.
PER to KUL by transiting DPS.
Sounds like RR Trent 900 found in the Airbus A380... I should call it a mini A380 sound...
I miss the roar, but I like the sound of the CFM leap. It reminds me of a ge-90 which is my favorite jet engine. I look forward to flying on this plane
Sad
clapping on takeoff? wtf
Armen A. It's a new plane why shouldn't they
I understand clapping on landing, but clapping on takeoff? It would be quite ironic if the plane malfunctioned right as they began clapping...
Armen A. This plane is actually quite reliable it wouldn't just malfunction but let's say it did planes malfunction all the time but some of these are tiny problems which wouldn't affect the flight but yeah anything can happen at anytime but the passenger's would clap if a new plane takes off clapping is actually pretty normal
okay, thanks for the info
Armen A. no problem
I think the engines were wished into the cornfield
1:35 sounds like as if you're in an MRT
For normal passengers: wow it really is quite!! For aviation enthusiasts: WHERE DAFQ IS THE ROAR
nice plane but the engine so bad
No sound like CFM-56 7b :(
I'm sure this engine would buzz on TOGA
XxGrizzlyTheAirbusA400MxX atlas 737 max sounds horrible IMO
XxGrizzlyTheAirbusA400MxX atlas I honestly don't know. I will try to figure out though.
Just as I expected, no buzz. A320neo, 737max, 787 (GEnx engines) are way too quiet. Took away that distinctive and iconic buzzsaw sound at takeoff. I have a strong feeling that would happen to the 777X too.
Yeah I agree. I love the iconic buzz saw takeoff sounds from engines but all these improvements are making this a thing of the past. GE seems to be the worst with the GEnx and GE9x. The RR T1000 and TXWB still have a slight buzz which is quite nice but definitely not an RB211 ;)
Aaron Hilsz-Lothian yeah, I love how Rolls Royce managed to make the engine quiet, while still keeping that buzz! Trent XWB is amazing. PW is going GE's route with their PW1000G.
Yes but I feel like the iconic RR sound is going to fade away with the ultrafan project. Sometime around 2020-2025 I think. Oh well! I suppose I should just record as much of the good stuff as I can!
Aaron Hilsz-Lothian agreed! Get as much footage and experience as possible before they start playing fake buzz over the PA system as planes takeoff
Aaron Hilsz-Lothian and I am happy that so far ALL RR engines buzz.
There is no roar ? I don't want to fly this plane anymore.
Terrence Cobblefish you must be referring to the people who intentionally moved right in front of a runway and then bitched about airplane sounds.
OMGGGGGGGGGGG
where's the sound dumb
Not at all the noise I was expecting!
This beauty cfm leap 1b engine looks just like a 787 trent 1000 or genx engine on this wonderful new 737 max!
no more roar sound from the engine :( nice video tbh. one of the early shot from B38M cabin :D
Amazing moment !!
long long landing
Andrew Anane SIN is known to have an extremely long runway, at least 13000 some feet.
ecoRfan Still a long landing guys
Yes Singapore has a really long runway
Landed way past touch down zone...common amongst Asian pilot's aiming for that 'cushy' pax friendly touch down. Unprofessional however and it's no wonder there are so many accidents with these carriers.
Runway threshold is displaced by 740 meters. Touchdown was at 2700 ft mark or thereabouts. Not unsafe. Steve Gordon should learn more about flying before disparaging Asian pilots.
What a beautiful plane <3
The LEAP-1A engine sounds likes a lower-volume Boeing 787 engine--especially the very distinct whine.
Which sheat?
What seat row was this?
These engines sound amazing
nice video
Nice video... whats your seat number?
the engines sound great, but I will miss the "non geared" turbofan buzz saw noise!
I said this on another video but this CFM engine is still noisy and much more so compared to GTF engine
Great video
What's your seat number mate ?
Hey, how were the seats and cabin compared to the normal A320? Bigger/better? Any pics or vids?
James Owen I've got a cabin pic in my Jetphoto.net collection. Seat wise , it's tight.
The cabin is the same as in the normal a320. The seats are the same... depends of what airline you talk about
James Owen l Kjh
Supot Sodchuen Its just fine adjustments on cabin and cabin lighting and lavoratoies
Nice! Btw what camera do you use for record it?
Whiskey93 thanks! I use canon 70D
Nice LEAP sound, running sound like GE90/GEnx
Awesome video! but well the NEO engine still sounds strange for me
I does sound strange because of the relatively slow speed of the front fan compared to most high-bypass turbofan engines.
The CFM Leap engine installed on the AirAsia A320NEO does not have a geared fan.
It sounds like a heavy, but its not!
If the LEAP-1A engine throttles up to full power, notice the slight buzz (when using the headphones)
nice
Great video of this new plane!
1:34 engine startes spooling up
WOW 747 SP......
