Just me doing things around our place.
South Central Indiana April 8th Eclipse 2024 (Not Stabilized)
First time and very rough time lapse with no image stabilization, made using Nikon D3300 and my 10" Dobsonian telescope. One image every 5 seconds to start and 1 per second near totality. The telescope was driven by the Romer Optics EZ GOTO kit. (romer-optics-llc.myshopify.com/pages/about-us)
A Dobsonian is not the best setup for imaging like this and the 10" telescope had more magnification than necessary do I could not get full disk images without extra work. The tracking hardware was not particularly accurate so I had to constantly adjust it to keep things in the frame.

Cutting A Poplar

This is actually the first sizable tree I've cut down. Learned a few things and discovered I need better logging tools. The tree is a wind damaged Poplar that was about 70' tall or more and we got about 50' of usable logs out of it. It will be nice to get this on the mill
Walnut Recover

Walnut tree that fell way back in a wind storm. Looks like the base was rotten. Learned a bit about taking down a tree that didn't quite make it to the ground. More of that hackberry that came down in the wind storm. It's kind of rotten in the middle but you'll see there's some nice "character" inside this one. Cherry Recovery

Found this twisted up and partly rotten Cherry out in our woods. Cut two logs from it and milled them up. The rest of the tree wasn't in very good shape. Didn't get sawmill video on this one.

Cutting the first couple of logs on the new Woodland Mills HM126. These were the Hackberry that came down on the power lines during the derecho back on Aug 10th 2020. Yes I did run the blade into the stops a couple of times so I ended up cutting kind of slowly, probably too slowly.
