For me Japan is the best tsukasa and best tsukushi.

I wish they would make a spin off movie where Domyljis mother tells her story , how she became that cold iron lady . The premise would be : In the present timee Tsukasa and Tsukushi has been happily married with 2 kids and Tsukushis birthday is comming . Then Domyoji Kaede asks her wgat she would like to have as an birthday present and Tsukushi would ask her to tell her story in order to get the answer to the question " why Kaede hated Tsukushi so much in the beginning?" And then Kaede would start her story and then the next scene goes back in time to Kaedes youth.

You know what? I like apples but I don't say bad things about oranges. I like all versions. I like the Jihoo in Korean and Dao Ming Si in Taiwanese and Tsukushi in Japanese. Can't you just like purely without hating anything?

This is truly the best of all the series...Jun Matsumoto nailed it.

He make himself handsome, scary, violent, cute, loving, cooky and insecure perfectly as the character should be. He's the best actor to ever played this character and the chemistry between him and the female lead is just 🔥🔥🔥!

My, I can never get tired of this drama even though I've watched this and laughed and cried to it way too many times already. 😆 Makino's cute tenacity, Domyouji's hilarious manbaby energy, the F4's bond, the brilliance of the supporting characters, THE OVERFLOWING CHEMISTRY OF JUN & MAO, the magical OST...*sigh* It really is the most superior version even after almost 20 years. 😍

This version is the best. I first watched the Chinese and Korean ones, because they were on Netflix, and I thought- this is so cringy, but so full of potential, why am I not feeling it. Until I saw the Japanese Hana Yori Dango and understood what was missing. 1. Domyouji. I'm sorry but Daoming Si and Goo Junpyo are but a shell of Jun Matsumoto created in Hana Yori Dango. He wants to be cool, walks like the world is his runway, but he's kinda dumb and a manchild. Other versions don't focus as much on his emotional state, but the Japanese one shows clearly that he deals with everything he feels through punches. He's angry because he likes Makino, he's angry because she doesn't smile at him- and he deals with everything through punches. This is the only version that repeatedly shows who he is and why he's like that. But his hurt face, oh God, his hurt face haunts me to this day! When he sees Rui and Makino hugging, or that time when he sees her photos, his face is just engraved in my mind. Other actors just could not come close to that. (Btw I love how they emphasize how stupid he is, how he speaks in a wrong way, it's hilarious and so so fitting. Only a stupid person would express their emotions through punches anyway. Usinng the word stupid very, very lovingly lol). 2. Makino- in this version she's the best. Other actresses are fine, but I just hated that they were so reluctant to show their real feelings. I loved that she mentions how just seeing Domyouji with Sakurako made her chest prickle, or how she openly tells him she loves him, to him in s1, and to his sister in s2. Makino walking through the muddy river just to retrieve the necklace hits harder than similar recreations of the scene. At some point she tells him "don't say anything weird, I'm at my limit", as in, they are separated and she's suffering although she looks collected. I just love when women also express their feelings so openly. Other versions have the female leads getting the confessions out through their teeth, they are practically forced to do it. You're telling me a girl that stands up to f4 like that isn't brave about her feelings? Come on! 3. The confession scene. Does this even need to be elaborated? This scene standing alone is better than all other recreations full stop. Domyouji's face when he sees her running, it's only then that he kind of gets an inkling to her feelings, and he's trying to be cocky about it with "you're in love with me"- but when she openly says "I am"- the way his face changes- UGH. SO GOOD. Emotional, romantic, memorable. - BTW, yes, all versions have a big level of cringe, but I find this irrelevant, because many dramas are. Embrace the cringe.

Thank you for spreading awareness about my favorite jdrama ever. The one that started it all for me

This is my favorite ver To all!❤ You know why? Tsukasa never hurt tsukushi, because in other version: almost hit or punch her, throwing things around her, forcing to kiss her that sometimes made me sick not totally hahaha 😂 For me this version will always be the best ❤
