The author is a salafi read books of Imam Ghazali - Salafis are very shallow scholars. ibn Qayyim books are very long winding boring books more over he is not a Sufi and the domain of nafs , psychology and spirituality are a distinct science in Islam dealt by the Sufis , not by autodidacts like ibn qayyim who dabbles in every science without authority.
