I was taken to see this filkm by my aunt & uncle, I forgot the film but never the music, it haunts me still.

In most Motion Pictures, "Roadtrip" = "Banal," with predictable incidents and music. Not in this one : Not only great Comedy, but the Ron Goodwin suite Elevated everything, and painted Charm onto every scene . . . 😺😺😺

There’s a film called “Triplets of Belleville” that has this beautiful piece of music in it but it lasts for about a minute and that’s it. It’s a teaser that leaves you wondering when the main dish is going to come along.

This music fills me with nostalgia like I know it but I can't for the life of me figure out if I've actually heard it somewhere before or if it just figured out the perfect sound to make itself nostalgic by. One of my favourite compositions…..a lovely melody by a very talented composer…..a fellow Hungarian…

This has always stayed with me..... I also love his theme for Interlude which, like La Peau Douce. I saw in a tiny theatre in Brisbane, Australia around 1970. It was a good time for French films and French composers.

This and the Elizabethan Serenade, are always with me in my head, thankyou Ron
