video how to do it is not necessary !!!! 1) first release the guide bolts 2) give the caliper bolts 3) lubricate the guide bolts 4) collect everything to knock, you cannot beat, the cylinders need to be moved apart. insert the sensor when the support is in place.
I have question I just replace the brake pads, I just drive it and is tending to brake inself way is doing that?

Take the slide pins bolts out!! You don’t have to take the whole caliper with the bracket bolts out! Removed the slide pin bolts remove the pads compress the caliper install new pads and way to go!!!
Track looks a bit shitty.
Some information here, but too much messing around with the sensor. Take it out first before removing caliper and put in at the end after installing caliper. Otherwise you are waisting too much time playing around with it.
what gearing are you running? thats the one jump there that i know i can make but i am so not confident ill be going fast enough. i figured on my yz450 stock gearing i have to pull 4th all the way
You make it look easy
You forgot to remove the outer brake pad retaining clip before removing the old pad so you pinched the retaining clip between the new pad and the caliper. As a result the outer pad is not retained in place and there is a springy metal part impinged between the caliper and the outed pad after your final assembly. A very dangerous situation indeed!
This! Please OP, revisit your brakes! I don't think the retaining clip is there to secure the outer pad, it is called an anti vibration clip or something, to keep the caliper tight in to the carrier on the outside. However keeping it between the caliper and the pad sounds pretty dangerous!
I don’t think it was in the car to begin. No clue how is possible to drive without feeling it. The breaks pads can’t get out but the turtle for sure.
I have a 2014 GL450 and dealership says rear rotors need to be electronically released so I can't do it elsewhere? Sounds like BS.. anyone know anything about this? Thanks
Yes, I read in another video that you need a scanner to disengage the electric E-Brake on the newer cars. That is. if you need to turn the rotors. If you don't touch the rotors the pad replacement is easy if you have a 7mm Allen wench.
Anand Sethi electronic ebrake release. gotta put the car in what they call assembly mode or the caliper will not release.

I see you have coil spring. Did you had air spring to begin with? Just the thought since gl have so much problems with air spring.
Yes It used to be air. I replaced all to spring once one of them fail.
Thiago Toledo ouch, that's a good punishment to the car for failing you, shame on Mercedes. By the way, Arnott sells better after market air springs that are known not to fail.
Cheaper to replace with 4 springs tan buying one bag lol.
good video. you just unbolting wrong bolts . for brake pads replacement its enough to unbolt the caliper. that's it. caliper bracket unbolts for rotor replacement.
