Drove in from Kingston to meet up with 17 others for a bit of dirt devils miles before heading to the brewery. That overland shop had some choice vehicles on display. Long 14hr day behind the wheel. Good times though.

The only problem with the FJ in south Africa is that they never came out with the D-4D (diesel) motor, sales would have improved, otherwise great vehicle, standard and modified!

I'm surprised that the access for rear passengers isn't mentioned. In my mind it's the single worst thing about the FJ. I really don't know why a vehicle that was quite expensive when it was released wasn't designed with doors the correct way around and windows that wind down.

Nice set up. East Tennessee resident as well. Slowly, as budget allows, upgrading a 4th gen 4runner. As a former long distance backpacker, I have a hammock/tarp set up for my sleep system. Rather easy set up. I definitely don't want anything on the roof to limit overhead clearance for some of the tighter trails I've been exploring. Hopefully fully ready for fall/winter trips. Looks like you guys have a blast. Been exploring gravel roads/trails around the tellico/robbinsville/murphy area.

I had a 2007 that took a rock and had a nasty Star crack along the bottom edge, it cost $1500 to replace. I about soiled myself when I found that out given the fact that the last windshield I had replaced was on our 86 Buick LaSabre wagon which cost $285. I bought my ‘07 in November of 2006 so it was new on the market and the windshields weren’t in large supply then. The good thing is that all I had to pay was the $500 deductible.

I love my 2014 FJ Cruiser. Now its all dirty and I have to clean it. After I clean my 2021 4Runner which is dirtier than the FJ. I love fondling my FJ Cruiser with a wet soapy sponge. But right after I fondle my 4Runner of course. I love cleaning my wheels and dressing the tires so black it makes my FJ pop! Right after I do the same for my 4Runner. I love playing "Started from the Bottom Now we're here" on my FJ stereo system. The bass will blow you off the planet. I love taking my FJ Cruiser into the Auto Salon and letting someone else bring my FJ to a detailed shine. The 4Runner? What about it?

Is that DVD player he’s talking about even a Toyota product? I’ve never heard of an FJ Cruiser with a DVD player, other than after market head rest type ones.
