That's such a cute costume idea! And the skills will come with practice for sure! I haven't been doing the doll stuff long, but I've been sewing cosplay for many years and the skills transferred over really well.

I’ve got lessons from my mom when I was little, but I’ve only recently gotten back into sewing so I’m having to reteach myself a lot of stuff. I used to sew clothes for my dolls all the time so it’s mostly a matter of relearning things I’ve already learned.

If you want non-permanent covers than a lot of people just use elastic. So where I added the glue and glued the fabric to the boots, instead add an elastic casing and thread through some elastic. I don't like the reusable covers as much since they tend to take on a bit more damage, but if it's a one night thing for Halloween than that's okay. Lots of reusable boot covers tutorials on UA-cam too if you need more ideas! It's a pretty popular method in the cosplay community.

Thank you! I am also not a big fan of Bakugo. The cosplay was part of my quarantine cosplay build series I did back in 2020 where I made random cosplays from whatever was in my house and Bakugo was the only BNHA character that I had a wig for. I ended up wearing the cosplay once then selling it, but was a fun challenge anyways!

My point is that you can cosplay whoever you want to! Nobody should force you into a character so you fit their mindset of cosplay accuracy. I also love Barbara Gordon. I've cosplayed her since before I was visibly disabled. There is a huge difference between me cosplaying Barbara Gordon (a femme presenting, DC comics character, who checks all the cosplay boxes for me) versus cosplaying professor X (I don't do masculine cosplays often, I have never done a bald cosplay, and I have only cosplayed Marvel once). Also Barbara Gordon gets magically cured in the end anyways 🙃 which is an unfortunate trope, but that's a whole other conversation.

@@123benyb if you ever feel like looking around the channel I've actually cosplayed Barbara many times! I cosplayed her back when I was still practicing martial arts! Hello. I did look into translating this video and it's $60 to translate an 8 minute video professionally (I don't know enough Spanish to translate it myself).
