Love the input! I had always preached that with a printer and a CEDH deck list as construction instructions, you basically have a super beginner friendly deck-building “model kit”. This perfectly describes how I feel.

Surely its not just infinite blue, it's infinite in all of its colors? You make 2 blue on first activation, then pay the 1 to untap, and then at an undetermined point just start making the other colors with the tap ability and add them to the mana pool

I used Hidetsugu and Vito as win cons for my weird Sisay list, it's not the kind of thing people expect, but it also works fine in a Sisay list, less expensive than including a Derevi combo for example and both require similar set ups.

Tarkir was so frustrating because WotC took such a great setting and tanked it to make yet another dragon based dystopia. Neon Dynasty is fairly sci-fi compared to anything else in the main settings, even more than the old artificer stuff. I liked Dr Who because now Queen Elizabeth's ghost has a range of Commanders to choose from. I think I use exactly 1 card from Dr. Who, Ensnared By the Mara, which was a perfect vorthos fit (if you squint enough) that offers a lot of value for 4 mana. I also use very few cards from the other UB sets, so I'm not against EVER using them, I just find that most of them are sneakily easy to cut from lists, and since they can annoy people it's just one more reason to not bother with deceptively mediocre cards.

Universes beyond as a product is like paying to interact with an advertisement. Awful choice from Wizards. It dilutes their product's identity.

Losing the high fantasy aspect was a little sad but understandable. Becoming a billboard for any other IP that looks like dollar signs has been a real let down. I wish they were considered different games. I’d be happy to play transformers under the MTG rules umbrella, but mixed together feels like they’ve taken the magic out of Magic.

One marvel set I would have been okay with, so most ppl can get their favourite character and then it's done. but doing one set just for spiderman is overkill. And I fear this could mean they will start going though all the bigger marvel comic books until half the game is marvel

These cards are "best in slot" and are used unanimously makes entire format have to build around, This also discourages muliganing to win mechanics. I think this may make the format a little more sophisticated. Also competitive vs causal is a factor. If its for fun who cares?
