Riding the 2001 RC51 @ Sonoma Raceway 8/27/24, Yamaha R World, Z2 Trackday. This was "A" Group. I was riding with Eithan, Bill and Adam so trying to keep the group together as much as possible.

Last session of the day. RC51 following Adam on his 2015 CBR600RR. It was 94 degrees out and the RC was getting HOT! The Dunlop Q5s were great though even though the rears are still wearing fast I didn't have the same grip tears as on the 190/55.

Agreed, the RC51 and I are struggling to keep up on the straights. I’m hoping this won’t be as apparent at Sonoma. 😊 It’s not as much of a hp track. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you out there. Loves your trailer video!

i really wish they did a better job at putting riders in the groups they belong. B is such a shit show.
no shit...why be in such a hurry. Cool thing was he was way more patient the rest of the session. That wheelie stop might of rattled him a bit.

Yes, I was expecting him to drift wide, but maybe not that wide. He was doing his thing though. My job to get around him clean. The really close call is at 5:49. 😮

Sure was a fun day except for the heat! It felt hotter than 95 degrees out there. But what a great day

Yeah, I’m still figuring out gear selection in turn 2, feels like I should have been in 3rd. I noticed I was losing some time there when I was in 2nd.
You were running strong from the opening session. It looked like you were just there last week, not 20 years ago when we were last there. Great job. It was so much fun, I cant wait to go back!

Your comment about the dust from day one could not hit home more. We took a hard spill at mile 22 that ended our weekend. Not being able to see the turn in the trail was brutal. I would have taken the rain over the dust any day.
