Not an expert here, but I'm familiar with other takes on this opera, and I have to say I've never before heard the opening scene conducted so propulsively before - the fast pace ups the dramatic tension considerably, as well as this listener's excitement, but it certainly pushes the singers into a test of how quickly they can spit out the words before the notes fly by. I like it!🎉 PS I've also never heard Costello sound so in control of his instrument. He's certainly not the same as he was when he sang Percy in Anna Bolena years ago - even the timbre sounds spectacularly different. He must have put in a lot of hard work since then. Hats off, Stephen! 👏🥳🤠

가사 전달도 제대로 안되오페라... 무대와 거리가 멀어서 감정 전달 도 안될 꺼 같은데 시간 내서 오페라를 보러가냐고 와이프에게 투정을 부렸지만 현장에서 엔딩을 보고난후 감동이 아직 남아 있어 유투브 에서 영상을 보러 다니고 있네요 " o sole vita eternita " 이부분은 정말.... 지금도 현장에 있는 듯한 기분!!

서울 공연 보고 왔습니다. 완벽하고 탁월한 공연에 너무 감동하여 울컥했습니다. 최고! 감동의 도가니!오케스트라 완벽! 모든 출연진들이 넘사벽! 음향 짱! 엄청난 스케일의 무대! 폭 50m의 무대를 다 뜯어왔다고 하고 처음 외국 공연하는 곳이 서울이라니 더욱 기쁘네요! Bravo!
