Shaye leads a great group of players. Even without Erika there, the band kicks it next to Heaven. Add Erika, and it is Heaven.

Every morning, a cup of hot coffee and a few minutes of happy music from this great band.

This is typically superb Tuba Skinny, with two deviations from the usual. TS doesn't usually have a sax, and Robin usually works on a drum kit or washboard, not both. Something else seems special about this vid: the audience seems really generous with tips! Let's hope the band can soon get back to busking.

They do everything well, but this tune highlights Tuba Skinny's remarkable ability to deliver a sweet, low-key composition. They play with affection and restraint. They rarely have printed music in view, so maybe this was a song they haven't worked on a lot. Robin is playing with more kit than usual. Shaye's work is especially good here.

A marvelous band for sure, says this man who grew up on Western Swing, Big Band, and New Orleans Dixieland. Even those scurrilous-looking men are great with their instrument. Considering the way they dress, by the way, I wonder whether any nice looking babes ever give 'em the time of day. That Shay Cohen is an extraordinarily good leader. Her cues are so subtle most people, I suspect, miss them.

By far the best Dixieland I have ever heard. And I have heard quite a few.
