In this trip we put in again at Hubble Creek and try to paddle the eight miles down to the boat ramp. This time the water is a lot higher and we are trying to get back to be picked up before an evening/night of thunderstorms arrive.

Sorry guys. I’ve been trying to upload this one since the 10th (it is now the 30th). Anyhow, this is just another trip down Hubble Creek to check water levels and see how long it would take to get to Cape. I cast out a line a few times and we explore a very small portion of the old creek route before it was channelized. We then continue on to the mouth of the creek where the first half of the v...

We pick up where we left off in the last video. It’s morning and the temperature starts to climb early. There’s not a whole lot to this one. It’s mostly flat water with only two or three bends. Regardless, I hope you enjoy the video.

Picking up from where we left off, we paddle away from the mouth of Whitewater Creek and continue our journey downstream towards Allenville. Along the way we see a couple of eagles, a bunch of carp, a beaver lodge with kits (babies) inside and an egret that had no intention of moving from its spot on a log. Most of the water from this point on, is deep and slow. Not super exciting unless you’re...

We continue on from where we left off. Starting from the hazard right before Two Mile Bridge and then continue on towards the mouth of Whitewater Creek. Stopping about halfway to take a small break to stretch our legs and read a bit, we continue to the mouth of the creek as we head into our last video.

Our morning starts off on a muggy June day in 2023. It’s a normal morning as we wake up, load up and put in at the Blockhole. The water level of the nearest big city is between 10 and 12ft and the temperature, to start off with, is in the 80’s as we dip into Crooked Creek for just a minute to have a look and then continue on towards the bend before 2 Mile Bridge.

Castor River Diversion channel. It starts off as Castor River further upstream but the bottom half (what I’m paddling) was dug out years ago to make a giant ditch in hopes to help drain and manage water in the area.

Sorry about the video quality guys. It looked a lot more “in focus” before I posted it on here.
