Mate I need a break from just watching you… I just picked up a cheap 79 that needs injectors and starter, so this will help me out. Thought my diesel days were over… nope… how do you go about an egr delete? When I did my apprenticeship 25 years ago EGR’s were fairly new and causing heaps of trouble, but we could delete em pretty easy, these days with all the computers and crap, I wouldn’t know where to start… I’d love to get all that crap outta there, there’s no real reason for it. People can make every excuse under the sun for it, but at the end of the day, if you’re replacing a percentage of your intake air with exhaust gas, you’re losing performance, fuel economy, and longevity. If people actually knew what Nox is, they’d be doing lines of diesel soot… there’s a reason they say: “diesel soot gets the moot”…

Hey thanks for a great video. It helped me heaps. With the popping I’d say a bit of crap got under a valve and held it open. When I was a diesel tech on the ark occasionally this would happen in the big jobs. Copy copy.

Good info thank. Your house earth stake needs to be replaced or placed, we had same problem. Electrician replaced it and went away. Parks are under strict rules.

Shauny, for ya viewers, try a big ezy-out to get the injector seals out, about 6 bucks if you buy it separately. Just make sure it's bigger than the hole in the washer/gasket, screw in as normal and twist out. Doin the injectors on my 200 at the moment (thats why I'm lookin at ya vids again) and also doin the starter motor (that mongrel bolt nearly sent me mad) and the EGR coolant mod as well. Luv ya vids mate, better than TV. Cheers.

hey mate. thanks for confirming those skills I had rebuilding my early cars (30 yrs ago) have absolutely no correlation to my 200, and in no way should I ever consider going below the intercooler level even with a Haynes manual!! LOL

Great work mate! Not that easy to do it at home and filming it, bloody well done! Also great idea to get rid of all that EGR cooler I'm sure the intercooler will be happier now, better air flow and not so much heat sinking. Did you find out if the intercooler is leaking? Are you gonna fix it or replace it with an upgrade? Thanks for sharing

Great video mate. I know your pain with those lines under the fuel rail, I did the exact same thing, as you said it's a memory test. I replaced the starter while doing the same job and found bending a long 17mm ring spanner about 30 deg ish helped with those pesky bolts for the starter. Glad Jack Jack is up and running well. Great video mate. My 76 series is coming up for injectors. Just under 300,000km and I’m about to get the values checked. Don’t think I will be doing it myself though. That looks like a mega job!

Mr shauny thompon ,i honestly would like to pick your brain . With the butterflys gone what happens with your air fuel ratio. Doesnt this change and therefore the fuel map on the ecu needs to change aswell?

Thanks mate, this is the hardest little shit to find. It has caused me no end of grief. First I get stuck and then I get towed all to discover this thing has never been changed. All because toy-yoka mechanics are too F-lazy. Cheers.

John Deere and case are both good company’s but I think that cases are better at the job but less comfortable to operate and john Deeres operate not as effectively but are easier to use
