I ran a mixture of ammo. For the classifier, my first stage, I ran my reloads that I am used to. Trying to earn my GM card and I didn’t want to chance a bad run on new ammo. This was a tough match for sure. I ended up shooting my Glock 17 with a 507k and some great grip reduction and texturing by my buddy John P. That grip work saved the day in the constant down pour we battled all day. My hand chalk wasn’t even sticking to my hands. Fresh off the Mason Lane Gunskills 2 class, my hands were hammered and I had some new skills to work on. Decided to shoot the match with the dot occluded since the class showed that I am extremely dot focused. I battled staying target focused all day and some splits suffered for it. The plate rack on the first stage ate my lunch and kicked my dog, but overall the match went well.

Day started out wet and muddy, but overall it was a fun match. It’s been a long time since I have a shot any type of multigun match and there was some rust. Overall I was pleased with my transition from one firearm to the next. But struggled going from PCC to pistol with a proper grip. Tough day overall. The mental game was definitely not running at full capacity. A lot of make ups on steel, a forgotten reload and one slip up with losing my cool while having a bad stage. But I will say, I had a killer time with my squad. Some good people and goofing around to keep the day enjoyable. 🤙🏻

What's your guide rod tune and trigger setup looking like she was smoking them splits
Thanks! Guide rod and spring are factory. Only change on this pistol is an Apex connector and a Zev trigger spring. Everything else is stock.

Very nice shooting and congrats on the placement. I see you're shooting occluded. Do you feel it sometimes prevents your non-dominant eye from seeing the target on some of the leaning shots where there's a barricade? An example would be at 1:40.
Thank you! I had to go back and look at the video. But to be honest, I don't seem to have any issues with the occlusion preventing my non dominant eye from seeing the targets that I can recall. The only issue I can think of off hand is when I am shooting plate racks from right to left. My support eye seems to wonder and I pull the trigger before reaching the plate. When I shoot left to right, I seem to be good (barring a bad grip or trash trigger pull).
