    That's not mescaline. You need hcl and chloroform to extract it. The end product is a (powerful) crystal powder.

    20 hours is not necessary when you peel the way you did here, ive done it in between 20 and 45 minutes by simply boiling in lime juice, you only need 12 hours plus if you aren't peeling it but boiling the whole plant.

      About 1 foot of medium-girth cactus per dose. How much liquid you boil it down to is up to you. Whether you end up with 1 cup or 1 shot of mescaline, there's still one foot of cactus in it. It's better to boil it down to a low volume, because of the unpleasant taste

      They need to be thick, otherwise you won't have enough of that green outer layer

    • @glazedtravelguide
      @glazedtravelguide Рік тому

      Not sure about the importance of the age. They probably just get thicker with age, which gives you a bigger circumference. The active ingredient is in that green outer layer

      If seed grown it’ll need to be a couple years old before it’s reasonable to harvest. If you start with a cutting, you can have a usable second cutting by the end of the next year. Age has less to do with it than size. The cacti doubles in size at least, every year.

    Hi great tutorial. I notice the tea in the end looks to have the sediment removed. I have mine in the fridge now and would love to leave the sediment behind, does it lose much mescaline this way?

    • @glazedtravelguide
      @glazedtravelguide Рік тому

      The sediment just tastes icky. I think straining it again wouldn't affect the active ingredients much, but would affect your volume. Maybe try pouring your dose carefully into another glass to leave the sediment behind :)

    This is a great step by step.... THANK YOU 🌵 Removing that waxy outer layer can difficult and time consuming. Also it can be hard to remove the waxy layer without some lose of the flesh. Something I was taught by a native 'practitioner teacher' that I have found an EXCELLENT help ..... FREEZING the cut segments after removing the thorns wash and dry the cactus. Then, cut it into small pieces and place them in a snap seal plastic bag. Seal the bag and place it in the freezer for at least 24 hours. Once frozen, remove the cactus from the freezer and let it thaw. The waxy outer layer will easily peel off. You're welcome. and enjoy. IMHO Mescaline is always best experienced in a safe natural environment. This is an awesome doco on the beauty of this amazing plant that is San Pedro is best experienced in nature. ua-cam.com/video/7A8T6HwUtg4/v-deo.htmlsi=hEsHPRdDUAXWMclM and another showing a little different in that he uses vinegar and explains why: ua-cam.com/video/QLeOio-O1Wg/v-deo.htmlsi=jGSKJ4nKLoDbLwRA

    Use the white stuff just not the core. It has mescaline and the other alkaloids in it. Its the vascular core that can make some people nauseated. I add lemons during the boil to help extract. And usually boil twice combine and reduce. Your lucky to live near a beach like myself.
