Publisher of a wide range of books and random things of sometimes awesomeness. This channel will feature many things and hosted by award-winning author D. W. Saur.
D. W. Saur is a public educator who began writing in his spare time. After some years and several books, D. W. was faced with watching one of his works fade away or create his own publishing company. Polar Press was born and one of the many goals of the company is to be a home for authors. Saur has experienced all the negative associated with self-publishing and hybrid publishing so his goal is to change the publishing experience for new and veteran authors.
Time will tell as to how much Polar Press will grow, but know that each subscriber and view is going a long way in helping Polar Press.
Lastly, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this. Your support keeps the journey going.

Not for me. It sounded quite flat
They're OK....can't wait to see Breaking Benjamin though
@@BuckeyesFan89 I’m sure they will have a good set. 🤘🤘
So true
@@Alamo458 🤘🤘
Clearly they arent as good live...
@@magamen6572 it was a great set and perhaps the experience is better on their own tour instead of a festival but we all had a great time and enjoyed.
@@PolarPressPresents glad you liked it
@@magamen6572 thank you!
I also love the Offspring. One of the best concerts I have been to was them and Rancid at The Boathouse (a moment of silence for the fallen venue) in the 90's. After seeing your video, I went to listen to the other 2 songs they have dropped from the new album. I listened to 3 seconds of "Make it alright " and decided it wasn't alright before moving on to "Come to Brazil." That at least held my attention. I can see it being a way to hype the crowd at a concert, but, like you, I am a little concerned for this album. I have my fingers crossed that it comes together when I listen from track 1 to the end. But, again, I have concerns.
Seeing them with rancid would have been amazing! They put on a heck of a show even now but I agree that make it alright wasn’t and feel the same about come to Brazil. Thank you! 🤘🤘
I was there too, it was amazing
@@Maxpowermoose definitely a great set! They will be missed. If you’re going today, we will see you there! 🤘🤘
Pick your guitar back up Canuck
@@thejerichoharlot2447i definitely wish they weren’t calling it quits. Such a great band with amazing live shows.
Can't help but to start banging my head...whenever...wherever I am when I hear this!! Smash it!!!
@@dominicduke3842 absolutely! 🤘🤘
Great reaction🤘 I love this song and the entire album. I think this might be the best album from NW. But I love all the albums.
@@mikaelandersson8214 thank you! I agree. Love em all but this one is top of the list.
O álbum é complexo e de difícil assimilação, com certeza é uma obra -prima.
Well said! Such a brilliant album and I'm excited for what's next. Thank you!
🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘 🤘 for sure. I absolutely love it. I agree phenomenal for sure.
@@stephaniestevens4020 absolutely! 🤘🤘
I can't imagine Tuomas writing anything so complex for Tarja or Anette. They took Nightwish as far as they could and Tuomas realised it. Now he can write whatever he likes and know it will be sung.
@@clivematthews5296 well said! Definitely couldn’t see this done with Tarja or Anette. Looking forward to tomorrow!
🤗🍒🤘🏻 well done and welcome or good to have you back
@@Mars-is4un thank you! Greatly appreciate it! 🤘🤘
I notice the bass more now than before... Might be mixing but I might just conclude that the background with other bands Jukkis have been/are in, might influence a bit.... Right?
I would think his background has to have a lot of influence. This may be a poor example, but I remember and an interview with Lordi and they mention how they loved either the bass or guitar (I forget which one) from a Disturbed album and they brought those elements in to that new Lordi album at that time. Maybe they brought him in to bring the elements that only he could compared to anyone else and wanted to highlight it. You've given me some homework @vivk-real . I’m going to have to go back and focus on the bass through the years. Thank you!
@@PolarPressPresents you're welcome 😁
Thank you very much for your great reaction; you have a new subscriber. All three singers of Nightwish are great and fit the songs perfectly that had been written for them, but I prefer Floor because she is the most versatile of them (all from opera to death metal growls) and her voice touches my soul deeply every time I listen to her. No other female singer before had been able to do this to me. Concerning Nightwish I really love the combination of heavy and folk elements. Troy's Uillean Pipes in the end of this song are so beautiful! But I also love their most heavy song Master Passion Greed.
Thank you for subscribing and the kind words. I understand what you mean about Floor. She's so good and able to do so much. The pipes at the end were phenomenal and love hearing them. Master Passion Great is such as great one too! So many great parts of that song and the album was great as whole. Thanks again! Means more than I can say.
This song unleashes the metalhead in everyone….and in the ending Troy leads us into the calm….I freaking love this new Masterpiece!
Well said! Absolutely amazing and that endings was nothing short of brilliant. Perfect way to end!
Floor is simply amazing! A unicorn among singers. And then you pair her up with such a great composer and musicians. Stellar!
Spot on! She's incredible and these singles show it (not that her other songs didn't). Can't wait till Friday!
So agree with your review
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it!
sorry, I love the music, but the lyrics completely ruin it, there's no real chorus to along with, it's a long, long, long story. i don't mind the scream/growl, it's just the folk could be more, simply put, repetitive, more catchy/rhythmic.
No worries at all. I want to hear what people think and its all good if we don't agree on everything. Comments have made me go back and check out what I didn't notice so I appreciate it! Thank you!
My feelings are that Nightwish is continually progessing to make better and more versatile albums, without losing their sound. Utilizing every talent and ability of its parts to make it more than the sum of the actual parts. Endless Forms Most Beautiful: included growls, ballads and a legendary long epos in TGSOE. Human Nature brought Noise: a completely different song and amazing video combined with songs of different subjects and composition (and my favourite song Pan). This album already gave us 3 magnificent songs, can’t wait to get the dvd in the mail the coming weekend. That’s my opinion of Nightwish. Thanks for your reaction.
Nightwish aren’t my own personal jam, but damn, do they know how to deliver what their fans want 🔥🔥🔥
@@Penbrooksown they definitely do!
Breathtaking
@@erickvermeulen9734 absolutely! A masterpiece for sure!
We all know what Nightwish is capable of, and this is an excellent example of it. It gave me goosebumps. I am very excited for Yesterwynde. I am sure it will not be a disappointment. Cheers from Rotterdam.
@@r_v_g greetings, and absolutely! So good and I don’t see it disappointing either. Can’t wait!
I will be able to listen to the new album in advance the day after tomorrow. And the band will be there too. Can't wait!!!🤘
@@kwhitestone that’s awesome and going to be one heck of an experience! Keep me posted on how it goes! 🤘
Best song in the Floor era. The ending gives me a James Bond movie theme vibe. Then feels like an epic movie ending credit section creating a time for reflection on the story. Excited for the full record this Friday.
Absolutely! Such a great way to put it! Right there with you and can't wait. It will be one heck of a way to end the week!
Both are fun and great versions! High energy, and as a part Scotsman… love the pipes!
And I’ve just heard the shoutout, thank you so much!!! 🙏😍🙏
@@Penbrooksown right there with ya on all accounts! The pipes are so good… so good!
Good adventure music. I like the videos too. They really seem to enjoy the music and the energy they put into the vision. I agree they would be fun to hang out with for sure
@@stephaniestevens4020 absolutely! 🤘🤘🤘
So forward for the new album!
Can't wait! 🤘🤘
The pipes and the video love it . Enjoyed the song and i agree more pipes lol
They were so good!
INK seem like such a wasted potential band… I can’t quantify it. Its baffling
I wish I said this in the video. So many great things but it's hard for me to enjoy.
Very interesting. Remember the victims, no glorification to the assailants. Well done
@@stephaniestevens4020 thank you!
@@PolarPressPresents you're welcome
I love this video. Great production and love the vocals
@@stephaniestevens4020 check out the album too. It’s some a few that’s even better. Definitely think you’ll like it
Yeah! Thats a solid 4 horns for me. The verse vocal aren’t my favourite style, but the rest is epic!!
@@Penbrooksown 🤘their instruments are so good! Makes me wish I could play
Loved watching this journey with you! Looking forward to seeing where it goes, and I’m ready for Dark Days 2!
@@Penbrooksown greatly appreciate it! Your support has been top tier from day 1! 🙌🤘
Pretty rad! My first actual time hearing Testament!
Glad you enjoyed! They have an impressive catalog. Check out souls of black if you’re up for more

🤘🤘🤘
😂 didn't even finish the song . I also love Alice Cooper ( as you can see in my pfp) but i also really love Ice Nine Kills. Don't know why you are so angry and immediately had a negative attitude towards them . Just because a kid at a festival said they are better then Alice ? Just ignore it 😂 Their videos are homages to classic horror movies but they do it with respect and love especially the singer is a huge fan of horror so no they are not a parody band either as you said in your other video but , they also don't take themselves to serious. I'm glad you tried them out again , i guess it's just not your cup of tea, kinda wish you would have kept the video going (assault and batteries) for the sidestory they are telling with all their music videos. It's pretty entertaining , a cop thinks the lead singer killed his own fiancee because he sees a pattern in the music videos (the cop is played by Bill Moseley from Devil's reject , house of a 1000 corpses , texas chainsaw massacre 2 ... )
I actually thought this was a practice joke for the first part 😂
Right there with you! I'm going to have to give some more of his stuff a try and see what he's about.
That was brutal! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Highly looking forward to this album 🤘
Ya need to listen to his latest songs. Alot heavier ;)
Will do! I enjoyed the brief heaviness so looking forward to seeing more of it.
I have not missed any of these songs, all of them are amazing, and pretty Badass
@@matthewfarr7572 absolutely 🤘🤘🤘

Mine Mine Mine and Army of Stone! Great songs!!
Absolutely! 🤘🤘🤘
Where did you see them? I saw them in Wallingford.
Norfolk. They have an amazing venue there. Such a great show.
This should’ve been Jon Snows theme during the battle of Winterfell! Awesome video too! 🔥
Hell yeah! 🤘🤘🤘
Loved doing this collaboration with you bro! Would love to do more in future when we can. Thank you for the shoutout, and sorry I went straight into a hard one! You smashed it!
Sounds great and no worries. It was definitely a hard one but a good one to do (sounds weird saying it that way but you know what I mean)
Crua cahn
Thank you! Even after looking it up, I was worried I'd say it wrong and I did.
@@PolarPressPresents no problem. Try looking up some interviews :D That may help. Long time fan (25 years almost). Do you have any favourite albums?
@@Brendo2386 Great tip! I used a pronunciation guide which definitely led me astray. It would have been a far better decision to hear it from the band's mouth. Highly enjoy their music and wish I found them earlier. So many great songs and highly looking forward to the new album.
@@PolarPressPresents ever checked out their debut? Verrrry rough black metal/folk hybrid but I love it most. Love every album though
@@Brendo2386 I have and I do love it but I enjoy the vocals now more than the first but I still listen the heck out of it. Hopefully that makes sense cause I think it’s the same singer but I could be wrong. Gives me a similar feeling to Bad Religion. I listen to the early albums as much as I do the new but I think Greg’s voice got better with age.
That looks like a real mash up of performance bill! I agree when it comes to festivals, just play your songs and smash it out
it definitely was! And yep, let's get all the songs we can in is the best way to do it.
I don’t know why, but I get serious mischief vibes from the jauntiness of this genre 😂
😂😂😂 I can see that!
This album is - in few words - repentless with only the bad parts. It’s not working out supremely well.
I can see that… I’ve gone back and gave it a few more runs so I can see what people are saying. May have jumped the gun with the video but I’m enjoying the comments to make me pay a bit more attention. Thank you! 🤘
Just keep on - it is up to you which bands or music you present to us because it is YOUR CHANNEL. Well, Nightwish is always a very good platform to grow a channel - there is a great crowd of lovers. Greetings from Germany, where it is now in the middle of the night but I cannot sleep because I will see Floor Jansen live first time tonight with her solo stuff and she is definitely my queen. And on top the opener for the show will be Anette van Giersbergen, former singer of 'the gathering' - so I am excited like hell!!!
Thank you for the kind words and encouragement! I greatly appreciate it. That is going to be one hell of a show! Her and Anette van Giersbergen will be a heck of an experience! I would say I hope you enjoy but I know you will. Floor is absolutely amazing and love seeing her live (though I've not seen in person). Here's hoping a tour brings her close. Keep me posted on how it was!
Congratulations bro! So happy to see this smile on your face, and very well earned. Love this! ❤
Greatly appreciate it! Your support has been phenomenal since day one. Grateful to have you by my side! 🙌
