Rabbi, I dont really connect with the paradigm of the yetzer hora is trying to destroy you. Yes it's in chazal everywhere, but I think we need a spin on it in our generation. The yetzer hora of our generation is brokenness. People sin as a result of brokenness. People like to say in our generation that we dont have any self esteem. You need people to believe in you to have esteem. Parents and rabonim dont believe in them, probably because no one believed in them or they dont believe in themselves. It's a cycle that probably came about from the war. People are broken people. The yetzer hora died a long time ago. All we are left with today are pieces that need to be put back together. The message needs to change.
