The outside fish have been moved inside for the winter
Our outside pond wasn't getting enough sunlight to heat the water up so we moved the fish inside until we complete a portion of the big grow out pond where the water gets direct sunlight most of the day and the water will stay warm enough.

Outdoor pond, cabinet build and new grow out pond
We had to split our fish because of different growth rates. some of the bigger fish 5g to 10g in size are in the indoor aquarium and the smaller fingerlings 1g to 4g are in an outdoor pond made from an old swimming pool, a pond pump and a homemade charcoal filter. we also needed some more cabinets and we broke ground on the first grow out pond.
Who we are and why we started this.

Hello julle. Ek het SO BAIE raad vir julle. Kontak my gerus indien jul ons wil ontmoet.
i plan to make this to use in my bestway 13ft round pool. its like 2k gallons.
sorta reminds me of self sufficient me... guy. "trickshot!"🤣
i love this content.. seems natural.. shows humanity. none of the super edited vids u see all the time..
A perfect example of how NOT to make a DIY video. Sorry man.
charcoal filter well/ok but activated carbon has a x1000 times more adsorption,, not absorption,, than regular carbon. there's a reason the stuff exists and cost more. compact higher level of chemical filtration and last longer than charcoal. 1000x times more porous . the process of making activated carbon is next level after charcoal/regular carbon. also NB NB we dont use wood to make activated carbon we use bamboo or coconut shell since it produces a a-carbon conducive to water filtration. charcoal will not filter out all chemicals. just buy a 25 kg bag ACarbon and save on cost. = R800 / 25 kg = R24 / 1kg
I have done this before, Making my terrariums and for my fish tanks ,I just made for sure the bag did not have anything added to The charcoal, my fish and plants are still alive and happy and my water is crystal clear my plants and my terrarium are growing like crazy , I also use this to mix with pine bark whenever I am repotting my orchids , this is a great way to save money,. 😊
Are your fish ok I'm Shure you should have boiled the BBQ lumpwood first as it's normally impregnated with lighting fluid, or was that straight up unmodified lumpwood?, Good video cheers.
i bet it was good wish i could hear you nice try though
