only the real ones know.
Hey I am heading out this area this year to hunt mule deer. I was curious if you saw a lot of deer out in that area? Not sure how many people are out there!
Me and the wife rode the ole 1290 up that one. Fun times
Logs are fun. Safe riding.
That's UA-cam gold, and no you aren't going to pick up a DRZ like that 😂.
Hey, I know some of those guys, like most of them.
Woah!!
'Promo sm' 😪
yeah
That start was weird. Just take off individually?
They had a normal hot start and then from there it was up to the teams on the hand off after completing a lap or two. you had to make contact with your partner before they could take off.
Went up to Bear Creek mid august this year to tip top mine with hopes of hitting ross forks but ran out of day. Was that coming south on 224 to emma and then emma comes out near bear creek transfer? We planned to head to stanley heading north on both those trails but were on little tw200s loaded down and decided to take the road over dollarhide instead. Us southern boys just don't have that exposure to death and we didn't know how much of that there would be up that way. You think the little tw's could do that? Coming back next year!!! My buddy's claim up at tip top and looking over towards ross forks may be some of the best country I've ever seen.
There is def a lot of exposure, bt you seem to get used to it. Dollar hide was fun after the exposure nerves settled. We did paradise up to stanley and then back down through emma. I would say those would be a bit tougher in the technical department that say that of dollar hide. We did it on 450's but the three hundred would be a better choice. It's all do-able just depends on skill level. Emma gets so rocky you have to do a bit of man handling bikes, at least with my c-class skill level.
Thanks for sharing! I am planning a trip up there for next summer. I am hoping do to the Emma Creek / Paradise Creek loop. Do you think there is any significant advantage of riding the loop the way you did versus the other direction? Thanks.
I would say the rock garden/Carl's diner area on Emma creek backwards from the way we did it would be the only hard challenge as you would be going up that mess instead of down. Paradise all the way to smoky bar is awesome, probably my favorite trail we hit on that trip.
Someone who can answer my question. I just picked up my 650r, want to build it for BDR's. What I've been wondering is, for example the utah bdr, would a 4.6 gallon tank be sufficient or did find you needed the 6.3? Thank you!
I did run out of gas that day. Get the tanker, trying to pack extra fuel is silly. Only put in what you need if the size is bothering you.
What end of 8575 did you start at? Thanks
Hwy 385.
@@00green00meanie00 thanks! Im bringing my son with me this year, Its been a few years since ive been on this trail but i remember it being pretty smooth and relatively easy compared to others, good for him being a first timer i think.
@@olsonfun yup, it's only rough and tight near Nemo.
Looks awesome. I'm hoping to go there this summer!
Did you ever make it up that bad boy?
Yeah, just not with the gasgas. Haha.
You made that look so easy, go job guys.
Bravo on the entrance climb. Nicely done.
If you still want to live after that hill, you're a dirt bikers.
No! That is not awesome 😎.
That's my favorite bit of trail, just because it's fast.
ATV's. So annoying.
How many days do you think it would take to ride most of these trails?
Two. Ride the east side one day then the west side the second day.
Those look like some fun trails. I’m going to have to hit them on my East this summer.
deer at 2:41
Heading to ride this in a week.
My favorite trail in the big smokey system for sure. The views when you get above Carrietown are so awesome. Thanks for posting!
Would you say it's any better (easier) going East? or West? Thanks for posting Juan Nevada City, Ca.
50/50 split on that east or west being easier. If I had to pick, go east. Nice trail.
Thanks for posting! Good stuff near Smoky Bar.
Moving right along! Thanks for posting.
Looks like I need to adjust my rear sag lol
Looks like fun to me!! (-:
Yeah, it's a good time!
Exactly where you're riding and What you're riding would be cool to know. Plus it looks like your main intent is to "cover some ground"!! It was fun to watch!! (-:
I haven't ridden East side in a cfew years.
Where is the trail head for this trail. New to the area and looking for good riding.
D. Riggs this is over by sugar shack, heading south west.
I'm looking for a place to test my new WR250r. I have that Delorme SD atlas. Are there any black hills GPS files with established favorite rides? I'm looking for some from camp to camp.
zappatx the bhnf website has maps and GPS files.
it looks like you guys really had a great time out there. found some fun looking trails!!
weekendwarrior Offroad yeah, beautiful place to ride.

weekendwarrior Offroad
weekendwarrior Offroad yeah, 2003 ec300, still needs some jetting work for the elevation in the hills.
Nice video! I like it
having been there, i can appreciate the situation you found yourself in. gopro does not show how steep things are. looks like fun

cool. my buddies have been telling me all about those exact type of hill climbs out there... they say it feels like you run out of motor before you run out of hill! can't wait to get out there this weekend!
