We have a stream running through our 15 acre proprty. They are on the other side of stream .Heap abundant water cress insects etc. They seem happy settling in. Getting their huts finished just found out they like high roosting Yhey are at moment walking. Past and looking in few signs of them in there threw in straw for now. Getting on to dummer had a lot of rain. Plenty of shelters mature trees for shelter.. Have got wheat barley dried peas corn. They get extra greens thrown in occasionally..Getting some hogh orotein and laying mix next shop next week. That would be 2weeks here. What characters they are ..

I had a terrible time with my older doe last kidding but I couldn’t get the kid out it was half in one horn and the other half was in the other of her uterus. The vet got one out before calling a second vet in. All tri color buck skin does were doa but I was so scared my doe Liz wasn’t going to make it vet said after all she went thru he would be surprised but thank God she still is our herd queen and will til God needs her for his fields.

Hey Kaylen! I also slow roast for 8 hours when I cook whole rabbit: Pressure cooker Cavenders Beef stock Rosemary Alliums (onion, chives, garlic, etc. whichever you want) Roasting veggies (potato, carrots, celery, whatever is around) set n forget it falls off the bone! It's a GREAT way to cook meat from animals who were butchered at an older age.

We just brought home our 10 month maremma and I'm very confused about whether he should be outside with the animals or in the house 'bonding' with us. He was raised in a farm, had working parents and never been inside. He is crying at night so we're having him sleep on our deck vs the barn which seems to help. It seems a lot of discussion forums push for the dogs to live in the house until they are 2. This is not what we understood or had planned. In our house is not ideal for us. We are going to start a homestead in north spain next to Atlantic Ocean coast. So weather can be pretty windy andy rainy and temperatures can fall down to a few degrees celsius (over zero!). I saw a video saying that this isnt so suitable for muscovies and this makes sense to me cause they come from south america. Still doable and enjoyable for muscovies or better a different breed?

We recently had a guy come and buy as many drakes as we'd sell him because he said he thought he had some "two-legged predators" stealing his drakes. Now that I'm seeing your video (late), I'm going to ensure that our electric fences are zapping hard this winter & our security camera has a big no trespassing sign beside it. Pin feathers: long nose pliers. Only need to pluck to first wing joint to speed it up. When scalding dip & brush feathers "against the grain" while submerged. Get it right & the breast & some of the rest will almost rub off clean except pin feathers (which are a moult/age thing). Beware of cooking the skin by over-doing the scald. Cutting leg off, make a short cut along the leg from bottom of thigh where plucked clean, along to above the drumstick knuckle joint, which has a depression in the right place. Then break & sever the joint without cutting across the skin. The skin will separate both sides of joint exposing the knuckle & can be pulled down the bone to expose the drumstick end. Cut the skin off where the scale/remnant feather bit stays on the leg.

We are consistently correcting our GP, who is 4 months old, but is there a stretch of age where it's most challenging? I've never raised a dog from a puppy and there are times when she is great, and other times when she is manic, jumping on me and my kids, chasing the barn cats. Generally it's not the chickens or the geese much anymore, so I'm thankful, but it's hard to tell what is puppy energy that will pass with time and what is behavior that we need to really focus on (like with an e-collar). Right now with jumping and cat chasing we use verbal correction and a quick scruff.
