How are we supposed to see the points youre adjustjng. The camera isnt even near the magneto

Note: I made an error on setting the secondary set of points. The secondary is set at 30 degrees but needs to be past the 10 degrees from the primary points. Meaning the secondary set should be adjusted to 40 degrees.
Would it not be a reasonable thing to verify the timing of point break on both lobes of the cam during the 500hr inspection?
