For me the biggest red flag was that I didn’t like the first one. Once you get past the pretty colors, you’ll see it’s a rather boring open world littered with fetch and collection quests. And the main story isn’t all that great either since the game’s characters chides and shame you for playing it the way it’s intended. The multiplayer was really fun though.

As much as I love MK, I feel like the franchise is dying slowly. Since the WB acquisition of MK and the MK reboot, now known as MK 9 or MK 2011, the series hasn’t really hit the same level as the 3D era games. I prefer when Midway was around. I bet you we would’ve had a Shaolin Monks 2 and potentially a third one. What happened to the content? Midway MK gave us Konquest mode, Kreate a fighter, Motor Kombat, hell! We had a chess-themed game as well as a Tetris variant. In my god honest opinion the play style was way better than whatever the fuck we got today it’s confusing to try executing combos in the newer games. Also, what’s with these stupid guest characters? Dude, this is kinda sad. Most of whats happening with the Screwed up story comes from WB's constant interference. Tobias caused us to get the MK Shooter. 😂 Ed has been trying to fix the story since then but Tobias wouldnt let him. Once they split WB wanted to keep the old system going because it "Makes Money" and sticking yo Tabias's design is what caused us to end up with MK1's shit story and half assed design. If we want a better game and Story we need to get WB to move away from Tabias's design and follow what Ed really wanted.
