first visit to ocean grove was in 1965.. we went every summer after that till i graduated from college in 1982. lots of fond memories of the time that we spent there! jt

Hi. I’m thinking about coming here to get out of town. Is it close to the beach? Also it’s not ghetto is it? I’m thinking about staying at the quality inn there
The casino is in the middle of the State Fair grounds, so it's really in the middle of nowhere. Mostly farms nearby. Rehoboth, the fancy beach with boardwalk is about an hour away. More natural state park beaches are much closer.
The Quality Inn also has nothing nearby, so no ghetto. I checked the reviews and they were mixed. Some loved it some hated it. Thank you for watching and commenting 😊. I'm happy to answer anymore questions you might have.

Wilmington was the largest city in North Carolina until Charlotte surpassed it in 1910.

The house you pass on 150 was built by Alda Crow who was a very well known seamstress in her time. Luckily the people who purchased the house and land are keeping the house. It’s going to be a wedding venue.

Don't know if you have ever visited Historic Gold Hill NC or not, it's only about 10 minutes from Clines. Might be a place that you like.

@@gonesplorin5507 Mauneys Antique Store and the General Store are both neat places/1840 buildings. GH now has an old fashioned toy/candy store which may not be on the website yet. A whole lot in the village and there is soon to be another antique store opening about a mile north of the village just up from the Post Office on Hwy 52.
I like places like this. I never really buy anything, but like looking around at all the antiques.

The black one, Cole is always terrified of everything. This favorite thing is just staying home and sleeping on the couch 🤣. Connor is more adventurous, loves going for rides and going places.

Hey that's cool! Closer to the beach is a good thing. We are about 45 min from the beach without traffic. Bad thing is when the storms start coming in. We are about to get hit by tropical storm or worse around Tue or Wed. 😠

We love going to the farmers market. I can't resist stopping by all the bakery vendors and trying their goodies! We can usually find some good fruits and veggies there too...
It's not as big as the ones you go to, so I'm still a little jealous 🤣. But we got blueberries, tomatoes, peaches and bread and all were so much better then anything I can get at a store ❤️
We haven't been to the markets in awhile, so I'm jealous of you too HeHe! 😊 Theres a huge one here in Jax I need to go check out.
