I saw this game at Little Wars 2024. I am going to buy it. It looks pretty easy and d fast paced. My wife are really getting into it.
It’s a great game my friend. Hope you enjoy it!
Cool to see the comparisons from first to second edition. Cheers.
Great video. I got into BRS about 18 mos ago. I note the model is a Zvezda product, known for their snap tight (no glue required) assembly. I picked up three of these (single model boxes) bombers from a place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA around the same time. I just checked and they are still in stock at the time of this post!
Great video, many thanks.
Isn't varnish used to protect what you painted?
You can do whatever you like with it!
6:09 this almost gave me a heart attack
Exactly!
Hi. Really enjoy your vids. One thing I never see on these models are the painters removing them from the moulding base to the playing base (yes im new) I actually find it difficult snipping around those tiny feet and getting it as perfect as they seem to be in the vids
Hi. Thanks, always nice to hear. I actually used a modelling knife on the resin ones, glided through easily enough. It’s ok to leave a little of the moulded base on as the sand will cover it. Happy painting! 😊
Thank you 🙏
You’re welcome. And thank you! 😊
Did you bother to undercoat the miniature?
35:34
Just put some Germans on the paint table. Looking forward to seeing these rules
Glad to hear it. I’m really looking forward to collecting the German’s, have you seen the plastic set an characters on the Facebook group? Have you received todays newsletter?
@@smallworldgames I downloaded the PDF in the am. I'm not a fan of plastics I have Black Tree Designs figures.
Interesting! And you can use those nazis for a Strontium Dog crossover! ~ Gordon
Thought never crossed my mind! 😉
@@smallworldgames I’m pretty sure Warlord released a free download to enable you to play it (obviously they had Bolt Action in mind).
@@LifeofDie Really? I’ll have a look for that, I already have some Bolt Action Germans.
I don't think you'd need to garrotte Godfrey, you could just surprise him with a nice cuppa tea and some biscuits. That would keep him distracted long enough for you to complete your mission.
The man was a conchie after all! 😂
Do you think that's wise Sir?
Nice Review, do we still see some battle reports from Test of honour ?
Hello. Thank you very much, glad it’s of interest. There will be more battle reports in the future, right now it’s just a matter of finding the time.
I'm confused about the way this game will work. Since the game is two players, does this mean that one player gets to build a cool Commando force while the other player is forced to buy, build, and paint a bunch of German guards? Who would want to play the guards?
Hello, with regards to your above comment, please check out my recent upload ua-cam.com/video/kmctUlmiOa8/v-deo.html hopefully it will answer your question. Thanks for taking the time out to watch and comment, always appreciated.

Shame warlord seem to have let dread fall along the wayside. So many miniatures not or could be released
Yeah it has slowed down a little. There is more on the way though apparently so hopefully we’ll see something soon.
Love you choice of colour.
Thanks very much. Glad to see the older vids still sparking some interest.
Dear Carlos, Thank you for your very inspirational tutorial. Where did you get the civilian 'ladies' from? Best Wishes Johnny
Hi Johnny. Thanks very much, glad it’s of interest. The girls are Reaper Miniatures Ladies of the Night. You can’t have a dystopian metropolis without a few of those dotted around! Happy Gaming SW

Hi Thank you very much, you’re very welcome. My most successful video was Middle Earth themed, should do more 🤔
@@smallworldgames I'll have to review your channel and find that one. thanks for the reply
@@MVeminor7 No problem. Thanks for your interest.
Nice artwork!
Thank you very much. Glad you like it.
base dimension it's 32mm ?
I think the ToH bases are 25mm. These minis are what I call "historical scale", so they are slightly smaller than, say, the minis that go with GCT's Bushido game or GW's Warhammer franchise.
base dimension it's 32mm ?
No, I believe it’s 20mm. Old school!
It is now on my 'need to purchase straight away' list now. Thank you.
I like your approach and color scheme. Glad you posted your version regardless of how many other tutorials there are. I'll be looking for your other LOTR videos. Subbed.
Hello. Thanks for watching, for your kind words, and for subscribing. I really need to do more Middle Earth content, especially as this is my most popular video 😊. I have the fellowship to paint up, and some Rohan. Any preference?
@@smallworldgames Rohan warriors would be my preference only because they are next after the orcs on my paint table. Fellowship seems like a lot of work with all of the different models, but i would readily consume the content. I don't see many armored high elf tutorials. I have a lot Uruk Hai models to paint too.
Is there a part 1?
Hi, thanks for watching. No there isn’t I’m afraid. What were you hoping to see?
@@smallworldgames Was hoping to see assembly and the painting up to the stage where the video began. Loving the tutorials for the Dredd figures, hope to see more.
@@TOYBOX2008 I look at assembly in the “Expanding the Justice Department” video but not in great detail I’m afraid. Glad you’re enjoying them and thanks for commenting. There definitely will be more 😊
Great video, your army is looking so cool!
Thanks. I’ve finished the who 1000 point since this was done. Probably should do some more Middle Earth as this is my most popular video.
Great video! For those of us that are invested, it’s a lot of fun to speculate on these things so it was great to hear your thoughts! Thanks so much also for the shoutout and kind words, they’re greatly appreciated! ~ Gordon
Thanks Gordon, glad you enjoyed it. You’re very welcome.
love to see the other horsemen, but judges from other megacities would nice. Hondo city, Texas city and brit-cit would be my choice, on second thoughts.... those judges with bike options would be really cool. a hondo judge with a totally manga type bike, tex with a long fork chopper and a brit-cit with a beefed out triumph.
Hi Chris thanks for watching. Yes that would be cool! Think East Meg Judges may be the first we see as far as other cities go. And love the idea about different lawmasters.
Great painting lahmian medium is the best or use water or distilled water
Just done the Judges and was about to do the gang, when I saw your video. Very helpful it was too.

Thanks for watching and your kind words as always Gordon. Yep it’s a couple of robots and the civilians that we’re waiting on.

@@LifeofDie No unfortunately not. Been a little quite with further announcements from what I can see. Just gotta play the waiting game. All sounds good. In addition I’d like to see the rest of the dark judges and some death cult. Oh, and more SJS.
@@smallworldgames I suspect the reason that there's been no announcements is that manufacturing has been slowed down because of Covid. Hopefully there'll be more news soon!

Those are 1:144 are they?
They are 1:200.
You should check out steel fist samurai/ashigaru. best in the bis. a little more expensive than perry, but cheaper than foot sore. absolutely lovely models. The warlord ones are great for the price, i just prefer quality > quantity
I agree, using ‘em ‘couse I got ‘em but as I expand I’ll be adding lots of different companies minis to am collection. Thanks for the advice.
@@smallworldgames they're currently mostly out of stock due to covid, but they're having new sculpts sent to the casting company as we speak. Apparently they're Sohei or at least that's around what they said it was to me when I gave some suggestions with my last order. Their sashimono are fairly expensive... I paid like £58 for all of the ones I have. But you probably could chest and use perry's resin ones since they're £7.50 for 24 compared to £3-4 for 4 with steels. I just love the height on the large sashimono from steel fist. I expect they'll have more stock once the casting company can properly start casting again. I think price wise they're actually amazing. Considering GW charge £15-25 for some individual small models these really do shine. I've got a starter samurai set from warlord too, but that's more for Pre practice and to bolster an army.
@@hionmaidenzzz9209 Yeah I noticed. I’ll be sure to keep an eye out. Well that just GW eh? What we’ve come to expect! I think parry are all round very good and the price is right!
@@smallworldgames GW are great for battleforces and offer good deals, it's just the individuals that blow. It's a shame the battleforces don't contain some named characters. It's one thing that keeps me away from most GW armies. Their pricing is valid though, someone's only going to need 1 model of that kind. So their cost to manufacture the process is very high so they're making the money back, but the problem is more when they keep selling it for that price well after they've got the money back. Don't even get me started on Finecast too. Or them halving models per box and keeping the price the same. I'm pointing at you cadians👀 just sneaky tbh. One word of advice, steelfist are very large compared to Perry. They're slightly taller than footsore too. But look at the samurai charging pack. Look at the no-dachi one is wielding. The scale and shape is spot on. Perry have gone down the route of making the weapons thicker so they don't snap and they just look awful to me :(
Very nice
are these the official minis from the test of honor website? They seem more detailed than the ones on the site, especially the weapon blades which seem thinner (the ones on their website seem too chunky) if these aren't the ones from their site can you provide a link to find them?
Good morning and a happy new year to you. These were the official figures before Test of Honour moved from Warlord to Grey For Now Games. They are still available from Warlord Games. These are also multi part plastic sprus as oppose to the official minis which are metal. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

I love Test of Honor. I jumped in both feet when it was released through Warlord. Haven't really followed it with the changeover. Is it worth getting a starter kit, or is everything mostly the same as before? Thanks.
Hi David. Books are both worth getting for new rules/content. The counters are completely compatible, though you do get the lantern markers with the new set. Card wise, I’d say you can use your older ones, they’ll just be missing the odd rule here and there, but this is in the book. You do get the cool little ronin mini in the new set though! Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, always appreciated.
