Have used Quercetin for some time. When I train fasted I stack it with Creatine,Tarine,TMG, Beta Alanine, Beet root,L-Citrulline, Omega 3,Pomogranate extract. Always like to train with heart rate high. Even when I strength train, will throw in opposing muscle group a high rep set in between. Say cable lat pulldowns at 260lbs 10 reps then 50 jump lundges. my volume of work is high and heavy. I do this type of workouts to improve my mountain biking. You need the ability too spike your watts output when your gassed already. I ride in a lot of rock which while all this is happing you need to pick correct line choice. Will be 68 in week and still looking to improve my performance. Have been doing this my whole life. Could talk for days on aging and performance.

Thanks for covering our study - a nice summary! I would disagree slightly on the statement that it is a limited study because it is handgrip, and the task (producing as much force as possible over 5-minutes) is definitely not easy. It's a proof-of-concept study. However, care should be taken when extrapolating the results to other endurance sports, which is stated in the paper. Additionally, we were also investigating the underlying physiological mechanisms and using fNIRS to measure activity on the PFC, which we could do with the handgrip task and is a lot more difficult with whole-body endurance exercise. More research is needed on BET, and since this paper has come out there has been quite a few other papers showing its potential. It's an open access study, so if your viewers have found this clip interesting please check out the paper. The link is in the video description.

This was a very insightful discussion on intermittent fasting. I strongly believe that calorie restriction is the number one driver in weight loss and improving health outcomes, irrespective of whether someone is fasting or not. However, when it comes to maintaining muscle mass and improving body composition during a fat-loss phase, it's better to follow the traditional approach of consuming a calorie-deficit diet and a meal frequency of 5-6 small, frequent meals throughout the day with protein in every meal, along with regular resistance training. Please keep making such videos because there are very few individuals who talk sense nowadays in this modern social media era, without any bias. I'm a big fan of this channel! 🙌

Awesome info. As a 66 year old male info has peaked my interest greatly. Unfortunately our healthcare/Medicare systems do not support these concerns. Bottom line systems don't want us to live longer due to cost. Little do they realize we possibly could have a healthier older population and save tons of money on healthcare/drugs etc.
