I KNEW I hadn't imagined this. I vividly remember going with my little cousins in 1988 and seeing this setup. I was fascinated because the CEC PTT locations had all left my state by then and had been replaced by Showbiz. I got into an actual argument with a friend who was totally convinced I made this all up. The entire venue where this stage and the video games are gone now.

This is without a doubt the single best cover of this song I’ve EVER heard. I’m not even saying that because I love Chuck E. Cheese. The adlibs by the rest of the band but especially Chuck E., HELEN’S INCREDIBLE VOICE, THE FLUTE PART?????! (I’m a flute player so I extra appreciate that), the performers just having a great time all while doing this song justice and more. Chuck E. Cheese covers truly do deserve more recognition 🥺🥺
