Hi, we are Helen, Alan and Buffy the dog.
This channel is to express our love for travel, history and beer! We started doing road trips in 2013 first staying in hotels and B and B's the two years ago we got our first campervan. We haven't looked back since having taken it around the UK and as far as Nordkapp in 2019, wild camping our way though Norway and Sweden. 2020 saw us take on a 5 week Covid safe trip around France and Germany.
Veni Vidi Bibi = We Came , We saw ,We drank !
So follow us novice adventurers as we take tentative steps towards full time van life.
As of August 2022 we are now full timers. and our adventures continue.

You mentioned using a private bus to break up stage 1 . Is this something readily available in St Jean? My wife and I were looking to break it up also without staying at the albergue in Orrison.
@@faaradar yes there are minibus transfers in both directions available. Cost varies dependant on numbers.
Well done for getting down that dune, looked fun 😅
I know what to do with the end of the baguette, the knob, my favourite bit with lots of butter and cheese, yum😊
Très mignon le bec et la région trop joli, cut. Joli visite. Je suis du coin mais n'est connu qu'à mes cinquante ans. J'adore. Et les moines et moniale trop sympa.
Your camper . Is wank .
Yeh it is......rank
So adventurous! Will be following.
😊
Great cider ! My favourite by far
Lovely walk. I❤️ Yorkshire. God's own country
Hola guys, greetings from Madeira
Some dogs 🐕 just love the sun ☀️☺️
They certainly do.
The pulpo was amazing!!! Loved your face when you said octopus 🤣🤣🤣
Nearly as good as mine eating it😀😫
Well done Helen. We have enjoyed following your personal ‘Pilgrims Progress’. You must feel a tremendous sense of achievement. Thank you for sharing your journey with us x
Your welcome, took a bit of time to catch up with replies but getting there
The conviction needed to walk in the rain for hours can not be underestimated 👏
Thankfully it was only a few days. surprisingly lucky with the weather
Amazing scenery if a bit muddy challenging! Walking with the van as your base seems to be working out fine, perhaps you have a pair of dry shoes on board. 😉
Always dry shoes, and it helped a few people out having the van, taking injured ones forward or just taking a pack so they could have a lighter day.
@@venividibibi4715 Yes, I can see how helpful it would be, a great way to travel. Enjoy yourselves, cheers Chris
Absolutely amazing effort. What a journey in more ways than one. Well done Helen. Laurence & Lynne x

Maudy Thursday, just got my answer 👍

Hey - What date did you start the walk on, trail seemed very quite?!
Got to Roncesvalles on the 3rd of April
Helen, I love it! Ha ha...."When a girl needs chips, a girl needs chips!" Thanks so much for this fabulous sharing! And a special shout out to Alan and Buffy!
Just the reflections of one traveler on the way, and thank you for being part of that.

Enjoyed yoyr video, Helen. I will be walking the Camino Ingles in two weeks...my husband has injured his leg so I will be walking alone. You're an inspiration!
Sorry to hear of you husbands misfortune , enjoy your walk,it should be getting busier as Easter approaches. Bon Camino !
Great to be in your company during breakfast. It makes a nice start to my day. I saw you shivering at 17 degrees...😊, we had 17 yesterday and were over the moon and felt warm 🙈🙈...🤣
Sorry for the delay . but your welcome😀
The black text covers much of the info, otherwise interesting as always..♥️
The subtitle captions? think you can turn that off,
Line on the left, one cross each😇
😄
"Promosm" 😬
Really
I love your map tablecloth. Where did you get it from?
It's a map varnished onto the table, like decoupage, then covered in spray laquer.
Congratulations 👏 & Well Done Helen, what a great achievement Thank You for sharing not only the video but also your thoughts along your pilgrimage N&A
More like mad ramblings, Helen become more confident with the camera as her journey progressed.
Fantastic achievement Helen. Well done and thanks for taking us on your journey x Laurence & Lynne
It was a personal journey, that why we kept it simple. No music, no pop ups. Just as it was.
What a lovely video, good luck with the rest of your walk, you should be very proud of your self. Thank you for sharing
Thank you. It's the first of two this year.
Well done Helen. You should be so proud of your achievement so far. Don't worry about the tears, doesn't matter what people think, it's about your personal journey. Chuffed to bits for you x
Thank you, there was a lot of built up emotion, as I've been working towards this and having t looming on the horizon without it seeming to get nearer, then it was here.
Pass on my thanks to Alan regarding the Irish passport information. I was born in Belfast in 1958 and left when I was 11. Never realised I was entitled to one until he mentioned it and I then looked into it. Applied and it's on its way which will help greatly with the 90 day rule. Laurence & Lynne x
Your welcome, everything you will need once you have that Irish (EU) passport is covered in E.U 2004/38 covering freedom of movement for E.U citizens and their "family members".
@@venividibibi4715 Yep looked at it thanks
Oh yes, the chestnut man used to be outside the door into the rag market, many happy memories for me on a Saturday waiting for the 1 st edition Argos to arrive as my family had a china store in the market .happy days all these years on Cheers nice vlog 👍👍
yes fond memories
Hi, fab 👍 how long did the walk take from the park up at the hotel into the town? X
about 35 minutes..... longer coming back as up hill.
Thank you for sharing, lovely to see Biarritz again, first went there in 1980 for the world surfing 🏄 championship, a really nice town, the mountain maybe La Rhune, there used to be a railway to the top, there you could stand half in France and half in Spain Safe travels N&A #benivanadventures
We find that visiting again is like seeing somewhere else. The feel and experience is so different.
Yep. One of my favourite places 👍💙❤️
It was what we needed after several daily hops.
Just making my day , you are hilarious 🤗
We get that a lot
Great vid 👍
Thank you , Lovely area.
Buffy and my William have the same kind of treat - the baquette end ..Hope the weather changes soon..❤️
Thank you, It has.....and it hasn't!
How exciting ❤️ well done for explaining the EU citizen rules ..it's being continually argued about on media at the moment 🙈🙈 go be a trailblazer 👍
More and more are finding the info out, pity its not all in one place!
thank you! you uploaded interestingg editing-
Glad you enjoyed!
Really useful to see this video. The HP Studio Tour is something I've wanted to do for ages so maybe I'll take my campervan for a couple of days away and go do it!
Thank you, we found this an ideal and cheap way for 6 of us to visit and have a great weekend.
I past you today on the A2 subscribed
Thank you. We are getting ready for 11 months of traveling.
We look forward to following you on your travels.
Are you aware that each year in November, around the 13th, the people of Medina celli torture a bull to death by setting his horns alight? This is a place of evil. I am surprised they have a church and a convent. These people should be condemning this barbarity. I am surprised they have a statue of Jesus - Jesus would not want animals abused in this way. ua-cam.com/video/kjUp0a5PfFc/v-deo.html
fab as always and the camera seems to be behaving on manual. Do you guys have a "winter plan"? will you be finding a hardstanding longer-term CL etc or still going to tour round and chance the grass?
We will chance the grass, even if it means parking on the traction mats. We run full winter tyres and they seem to help on grass. Once we get our family settled it will be different and we can venture further afield. But big plans for 2023.
Ps..see what you mean about the camera 🙈 it wasn't doing it when you were in the Moho but definitely all the time when filming scenery and distance 🙈 it's not too bad but hope you get a solution for your own peace of mind 🤣
Thank you, I have had to go to manual control, maybe I expected more from Sony's Vlog camera. but think its sorted now.
