@@kmo3688 the authentic pair is the size 13w/11.5M. The reps are size 11M. It’s also can be pointed out by the more muted yellow on the tongue. All fakes use the same deeper yellow material on the tongue. I’ve confined this with 2 other retail pairs and like 6 other batches of the fakes. If I mixed them up at any point just look for the tongue.

@@King-2077 the color is more or less the same. The the finish is what’s different. Some retail pairs are a flat olive with no motion, other are a little ashy with motion. Reps are just a different color Olive

there are definitely reps of these that have closer color in midsole now compared to when the ones in this video from a year ago. But these lower production volume travis scott lows dont vary that much. Especially not on the sole.

@ for sure, I forgot this was recorded last year. But yea I did an experiment too and tried to put a rep fragment on legit app and the only discrepancy they noted was the stitching inside the shoes which is scary as hell. That’s why after that, I stopped paying resell prices on hyped shoes like TS. Also, yes they dont vary much but there are differences especially if they are made in a different place. Like for example asian release TS sometimes have a slightly different color and material feel than the ones release in the west. Quality also varies for every pair, some pairs have sloppy cuts and stitching, some with bad glue stains everywhere.

@@King-2077 yes, thats true, but those types of differences arent across the board and are specific to particular releases. for instacne there are asian retail travis scott 1 high mocha and olive mocha that are different from the pairs released in the states. they have different factory codes, production dates, amd in the case of the OG mochas they have a different size tag in them with a bar code instead of the qr code in the american pairs. fragment lows dont and reverse mochas for instance dont have that difference. i love legit app because since reps generally don't get things like the insole stitching correct, its an easy way to weed out reps, but the apps aren't capable do distinguishing the color differences between reps and retail pairs. if you see a lot of my videos, specifically the travis scott videos i spend a lot of time speaking on the nuances in colors between retail and rep pairs. like with the fragment lows ive never seen a rep that matches the color of the blue leather exactly, its always darker. or how the white leather on shoes like the reverse mochas, olives, and medium olives, the reps always use a slightly offwhite with a hint of grey leather while retails are bright white. these are all subtle things the apps will never catch on but when comparing real to fake you see. thats not to say the reps are some highly inferior product, but there are differences that are consistent and fall out of the category of retail variation.

@@fbkickzngear2.0 that’s what I am saying, regardless, there will always be differences though. Not every authentic pairs are 1:1 to each other. Therefore I want to see video comparisons of same authentic pair of shoes. It’s always been fake vs real. Not that I dont agree with everything you said, but the slight color differences are so minor that you need good lighting and side by side comparison to even tell it. And yes with legit app it cant differentiate the color for sure that’s why it is scary to buy from any third party. My general rule for buying hyped shoes is never pay resell if it cost more than 1000 dollars. That’s why my only legit TS are phantoms, medium olive and canary. And it sucks I cant even own the other good ones, but I still have my rep fragment though. Ive only seen one video comparing two authentic pairs of medium olives, which is like comparing fake and real with color differences and material.

I paid $483 total for 10.5 I was thinking of waiting for price, but I really don't see it going down more than $20 or so anytime soon, and possibly up so I just pulled the trigger on it

most people dont know this about me but im manufacturing engineer and project manager for a living. at a very high, non specific level a lot of this is correct and plausible for a ton of manufactured goods, in general. For sneakers however the idea that counterfeit production and the production of the real items are so closely linked just in the case. The reality of it all is that fake goods is an industry worth BILLIONS in china. These companies invest in their own factories, equipement, and personnel to make their own goods because the industry is profitable enough to support it. Are these factories equipped with enough skill and equipment to make a comparable product? absolutely. but the product they are making is still fundamentally separate and different? Want proof look at my channel.I have well over 100 videos on this channel. In a lot of cases I have gone through comparisons of the same model/colorway from different factories and they still struggle with the same issues in terms of accuracy of colors and materials consistently in a way that the "real thing" does not. For instance theres not a single replica of the travis scott jordan 1 high that uses the same nubuck of the retail shoe. Does it make those replicas worse from a quality perspective? No. But by default it makes them not the same as the real thing. I can list a number of shoes that also fail to match the real shoe even years after release. In china there is a cultural mindset in manufacturing that roughly translates to "good enough". That cultural difference will always keep replica shoes separate from the real things, not branding.

while i understand where you are coming from, I disagree with almost all of it. If you believe the reps are good enough to wear and keep you from paying resell, thats cool, no issue with that on my part. But reps being "this good isnt going to do anything to the value of shoes like this. Reps have been "this good" for practically over a decade now and defintely in the past 5-6 years. Every single travis scott shoe ive purchased for this channel and the one before it have gone up in price. In fact, most of them are worth more now worn and used than they were when i paid for them brand new. I get not wanting to spend the money, thats valid but leave it at that. and to be clear, nike has nothing to do with the factories that make reps. these rep factories are their own million dollar business in the heart of the manufacturing captiol of the world (china) they dont need nikes input outside of the actual product and theyll reproduce them. but thats the main point, they reproductions, not exact copies. if they were exact copies, my videos would be a lot shorter lmao

theres no such thing as 1:1 period. perfect reps do not exist. the travis scott highs came out 5 years ago and every real vs fake comparison ive done over the years still have flaws. Mink oil can help address the color but that speaks to my point even more that they arent 1:1 because if you have to use mink oil in the first place that means they arent 1:1. that doesnt even address the fact that the nubuck used on reps is thinner and flatter than retail pairs which is why they cant replicate the texture and detail of the transitional movement. but its not just that, look at the soles of off white 4s, look at the reverse swoosh on the travis fragments and reverse mochas, look at the the the elephant color and red sock liner on the reimagined 3s, all things that are still wrong in 2024 on current batches being produced that were never accurate and have not become more accurate even years after release. and these factories either cant fix it or wont fix it because if they would, I wouldnt be making videos on off white 4s almost 5 years after release still talking about the same flaws and issues.
