I visited Engelöya and admired the beautiful morning scenery, including the distant mountains of the Lofoten archipelago. I wondered about the German soldiers stationed at this fortress. These landscapes were just as stunning 80 years ago. The Norwegians have inhabited these areas for centuries, so they saw the Germans as invaders. After the war, the soldiers left, but the forts and military si...

    Mulla käytössä Sena Spider ST1 kypäräpuhelin joka toimii myös mikrofonina Insta360 uusissa kameroissa. Lavalier mikrofonin käyttö ei kiinnosta kun kamerassa on silloin se mikrofonimokkula joka tekee kamerasta ei-enää-vedenkestävän. Mulla yhteys toimii kyllä hyvin mutta ongelma on se että yhteys pitää joka kertaa "perustaa" uudelleen kun kamera on ollut hetken pois päältä. Kameran kaukosäädin auttaa tähän ongelmaan mutta akku kuluu paljon nopeammin. (Tässä sun videossa on kyllä todella hyvä ääni!)

      Kyllä se vedenkestävyys on tosiaan tärkeää. Itse olen pienellä sateella vielä pitänyt mikin johtoa kiinni, mutta kovemmassa sateessa se pitää poistaa ja luukut sulkea. Hyvä kuulla, että ääni toimii tällä kokoonpanolla. Kiitos kommenteista.

    Is it possible somehow to move up the mount so you don't have the charging cable in the motorcycle display. It's kind of a dealbreaker. Great video even tho it's in Finnish.

      @MYMOTOLIFE 10 днів тому

      @@FrankMullerINC It has eng. subtitles👍. Yes I noticed that with the standard attachment point it is too low. The charging cable touches the mc display and the T865 is also less vertical and has reflections in its screen. So I made an 3D-printed ”block” between the T865 and attachment point. Now it’s in perfect position. If you look the timecode 15:10 you can see the blue part.

      @@MYMOTOLIFE Thank you for your answer. Yes, I saw the 3D-printed "block" smart solution, I was unsure if this solved the problem. But is it possible to buy one of this "blocks" in metal instead, or there is no stress on this part? i rater buy one since i do not have a 3D printer. Did you find a blueprint online, or you made it your self? Sorry for all the questions.

    • @MYMOTOLIFE
      @MYMOTOLIFE 9 днів тому

      No problem. I designed and printed it by myself. It’s very simple piece and can be done without 3d-printer. You can use a block of aluminun or nylon and drill appropriate holes in it. Screws must be sunked.

    The reason for the police to have speed control at such a place is for that you can't be "safe" anywhere. So it make logic in a way.

    • @MYMOTOLIFE
      @MYMOTOLIFE 11 місяців тому

      Hello Bjorg. Thanks for the comment. Yes that’s true, one can expect a speed trap anywhere. In Finland we have usually police checking speeds in areas where is other traffic like near school or other low speed roads. But this was my first speeding ticket and I sincerely hope also last.

    • @tacosalaten3677
      @tacosalaten3677 11 місяців тому

      @@MYMOTOLIFE Police here in Norway used to just a few years ago have spots where they would stand all the time. this made locals slow down in those areas but drive faster where they were sure no police would be standing. During Covid restriction easing up and people traveling more around the country, the amount of fatal accidents and people speeding increasing a huge amount, made police change their way on how they conducted their speed limit enforcements. so now its up to police where they want to stand to control the speed limits. And in doing so, there have been record breaking amounts of speeding tickets issued in the last 2-3 years, and the fact that the traffic fine rates have increased a lot too in this time frame it really has been a huge money maker.

    • @MYMOTOLIFE
      @MYMOTOLIFE 11 місяців тому

      Hello @@tacosalaten3677 . A logical explanation for many things. I have noticed that Norwegians sometimes drive pretty fast. Perhaps they know the road well, and even know if the police are measuring speed. In my case, the speed measurement occurred in a pretty ridiculous place. The road was a gentle straight downhill, with no junctions or anything at all to be aware of. But I'm not complaining, if my little crumbs go into the cops' cafeteria, that's already a lot of doughnuts.

    A nice video. I don't agree with your opinion about traveling with groups. We have been touring as a small group of around 6 to 8 riders for 16 years through a lot of parts in europe. And i don't identify us with your statement about not meeting locals and not being aproached by locals. Ofcourse we hang out together in the hotels or at campsites, but almost all of us are social enough and curious enough to want to make contact with locals. It makes, as you say, a better journey. But to each his own. I would not like to be traveling alone.. For al sorts of reasons... Have a safe trip!

      Hello Mr. Alberst. I understand your opinion. Especially when you say you wouldn't want to drive solo yourself. There are different groups, and there are different people in groups. Another interesting and enjoyable video. I'm using a Balaclava too, typically a BMW Silk to keep the helmet inside clean and provide a bit more comfort on warmer days. When it's colder I might wear the warmer version. Police stops are always a 'funny' thing, my encounters are mostly similar to yours where they check at a place that has very little to do with safety. Agree that arguing with them is an exercise in futility. Those license plates you refer to look Dutch to me, they are yellow but should have a blue section on the left with The European symbol and the text "NL". Thanks again for sharing your experiences, hope all is well.

    • @MYMOTOLIFE

      Greetings Olaf. I also have several balaclavas for different temperatures. For cold weather I can recommend a merino wool hood. Near my home there is a company that makes all kinds of clothing from merino wool. I've bought several underwear, outerwear and socks from there. Those plates might indeed be Dutch, I didn't drive close enough to see the small text. Nice of you to follow my channel and encourage me to make videos.

      Thank you Olaf for your comment. I have worn a variety of gloves and in warm weather or particularly cold weather I have had no problems. Only a day or two of rain brings trouble. I will look at the brands you mentioned and other candidates as well. The next episode is worth waiting for, I will tell you about my encounter with a charming person. It cost me dearly.

      Hello Ferenc. Yes I have my Ural. I was a desperate need of adv-bike and I traded my BMW K1600GTL to Husqvarna. I start my annual early autumn trip to Swe and Nor next tuesday and I am using Norden for that. I will edit some videos about this trip so stay tuned👍

    I have a question. Did you use led bulbs with can bus or normal led? Does the motorcycle recognize the led bulbs without problems? thanks excellent video.

    Thank you for showing all that needed to be done for these many screws and covers. A suggestion for another video: lubricating the forward drive shaft splines. I hvve never seen a video of anyone lubricationg the forward splines on this model bike.All the very best and if you are ever in Southern California near San Bernardino and Redlands - let's go riding. I have two bikes and you can use one.

    God only knows why they make it so difficult. I followed your procedure and then I walked away from my motorcycle till it got cold and I checked it again, and the oil level was exactly the same place on the dipstick.
