Kiitos kommenteista.
Hi! Where did you get the mount that goes from the bike to the tablet? Im having trouble mounting mine in my bike.
It’s from the Thork Racing www.thorkracing.com/produto/dmd-amps-mount-for-ktm-890-19-22-norden-22-23/
Is it possible somehow to move up the mount so you don't have the charging cable in the motorcycle display. It's kind of a dealbreaker. Great video even tho it's in Finnish.
@@FrankMullerINC It has eng. subtitles👍. Yes I noticed that with the standard attachment point it is too low. The charging cable touches the mc display and the T865 is also less vertical and has reflections in its screen. So I made an 3D-printed ”block” between the T865 and attachment point. Now it’s in perfect position. If you look the timecode 15:10 you can see the blue part.
@@MYMOTOLIFE Thank you for your answer. Yes, I saw the 3D-printed "block" smart solution, I was unsure if this solved the problem. But is it possible to buy one of this "blocks" in metal instead, or there is no stress on this part? i rater buy one since i do not have a 3D printer. Did you find a blueprint online, or you made it your self? Sorry for all the questions.
No problem. I designed and printed it by myself. It’s very simple piece and can be done without 3d-printer. You can use a block of aluminun or nylon and drill appropriate holes in it. Screws must be sunked.
@@MYMOTOLIFE Thx for the answers and the help. I will try and make an aluminum one.

Word of warning. With some windscreens, if you use thread lock in close proximity to the screen, it can crystallise and shatter the screen. Depends on the material.

what happen to your K 1600 gtl ??????
Hello Michel. Unfortunately I let it go. Changed it to the Husqvarna. I have no time or extra money to keep garagefull of bikes, so I have had 2 bikes over the years. I liked a lot the 1600, but I have allways done more km’s with the adventure bikes than pure road bikes. The big 1600 is wonderful bike, but it couldn’t take me where I want to explore. Husqvarna is most perfect adv bike to me. Have a safe rides and hopefully you continue to watch my future videos.

The reason for the police to have speed control at such a place is for that you can't be "safe" anywhere. So it make logic in a way.
Hello Bjorg. Thanks for the comment. Yes that’s true, one can expect a speed trap anywhere. In Finland we have usually police checking speeds in areas where is other traffic like near school or other low speed roads. But this was my first speeding ticket and I sincerely hope also last.
@@MYMOTOLIFE Police here in Norway used to just a few years ago have spots where they would stand all the time. this made locals slow down in those areas but drive faster where they were sure no police would be standing. During Covid restriction easing up and people traveling more around the country, the amount of fatal accidents and people speeding increasing a huge amount, made police change their way on how they conducted their speed limit enforcements. so now its up to police where they want to stand to control the speed limits. And in doing so, there have been record breaking amounts of speeding tickets issued in the last 2-3 years, and the fact that the traffic fine rates have increased a lot too in this time frame it really has been a huge money maker.
Hello @@tacosalaten3677 . A logical explanation for many things. I have noticed that Norwegians sometimes drive pretty fast. Perhaps they know the road well, and even know if the police are measuring speed. In my case, the speed measurement occurred in a pretty ridiculous place. The road was a gentle straight downhill, with no junctions or anything at all to be aware of. But I'm not complaining, if my little crumbs go into the cops' cafeteria, that's already a lot of doughnuts.
Subbed👍🏻
Thank you a lot. Have a safe rides.
A nice video. I don't agree with your opinion about traveling with groups. We have been touring as a small group of around 6 to 8 riders for 16 years through a lot of parts in europe. And i don't identify us with your statement about not meeting locals and not being aproached by locals. Ofcourse we hang out together in the hotels or at campsites, but almost all of us are social enough and curious enough to want to make contact with locals. It makes, as you say, a better journey. But to each his own. I would not like to be traveling alone.. For al sorts of reasons... Have a safe trip!
Hello Mr. Alberst. I understand your opinion. Especially when you say you wouldn't want to drive solo yourself. There are different groups, and there are different people in groups. Maybe we Finns are a very closed people anyway, and that character is only accentuated when we are abroad. I'm glad you watched my video and took up my thoughts. Safe rides👍
Another interesting and enjoyable video. I'm using a Balaclava too, typically a BMW Silk to keep the helmet inside clean and provide a bit more comfort on warmer days. When it's colder I might wear the warmer version. Police stops are always a 'funny' thing, my encounters are mostly similar to yours where they check at a place that has very little to do with safety. Agree that arguing with them is an exercise in futility. Those license plates you refer to look Dutch to me, they are yellow but should have a blue section on the left with The European symbol and the text "NL". Thanks again for sharing your experiences, hope all is well.
Greetings Olaf. I also have several balaclavas for different temperatures. For cold weather I can recommend a merino wool hood. Near my home there is a company that makes all kinds of clothing from merino wool. I've bought several underwear, outerwear and socks from there. Those plates might indeed be Dutch, I didn't drive close enough to see the small text. Nice of you to follow my channel and encourage me to make videos.
Hieno video!! 💗

Thank you for sharing. I really wish I could have the opportunity to ride my motorcycle through that area. I live in California and its amazing here too, just ready for a bigger adventure
Hello Steve. I wish I could ride in California. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. Fortunately, we shoot a lot and videos can be found everywhere, at least we get a small idea of what it would be like to drive in distant places. Safe rides and thanks for the comment.
I noticed my tft indicated speed is off by 4 mph when operating the bike at 60 mph and watching clock i had to adj speed to 64 mph in order to get 1 mile a minute is there a calibration for tire diameter or bevel gear ratio to help to get indicated speed closer to what it should be
Hello Paul. I think there’s no possibility to set offset for the speed. At least I have not set that kind of parameter never. Ride safe👍
Thanks again, lot to take in during this video. Those muddy roads, oh boy... but beautiful scenery. I myself have very good experience with the Klim gear as well, though I'm still using an old version of the Latitude pants and jacket. Given your issues with the wet gloves, I can highly recommend the Dane Goretex leather gloves or the BMW Pace Dry, which also has Goretex. I have driven both several times in hours of rain and always had warm and dry hands. Looking forward to the next episode!!
Thank you Olaf for your comment. I have worn a variety of gloves and in warm weather or particularly cold weather I have had no problems. Only a day or two of rain brings trouble. I will look at the brands you mentioned and other candidates as well. The next episode is worth waiting for, I will tell you about my encounter with a charming person. It cost me dearly.
Very cool video, beautiful landscape!
