Thanks for what you do, I live around Harrison and I never really get updated on what's going on because everything seems to be suppressed and secret, thanks man

The top floor apartment is mine. I had just walked into my apartment and was like “what’s burning?”. The wall that burned is not a fire wall…it’s just for aesthetics. I know it looks like 2 separate apartments, but the wall actually separates my bedroom and living room. Because they inserted fire hoses from the top, I had some water damage, but the real issue for me was the smoke. The wall basically acted as a chimney. Pretty much lost everything from the smoke damage. I haven’t seen the final fire report yet, but I was told they think a cigarette was tossed, which ignited the landscaping, and then went up the wall. Staying in a hotel still nearly 2 weeks later and dealing with my renters insurance. No one was injured and the Harrison FD definitely was on scene quickly.

Those are old DuPont buildings. Probably loaded with methyl-ethyl-death. Breathe with caution!

Only in Jersey . it’s a festival like atmosphere - families, people on bikes , gathering to take pictures . “ Come on honey , grab the kids - let’s go stand in the smoke from the burning factory “ 🤦🏻‍♂️
