Marshall Gilkes (the cadenza king) on his brand new concerto for trombone and orchestra! You need to check out the whole piece which he uploaded to his UA-cam, it is one of the most beautiful modern trombone concertos. Marshall's contemporary yet tonal compositional style combined with the improvisational sections make this a unique, fresh addition to trombone repertoire. He takes full advantag...

I got to play one at the Shires factory a few months ago- it was a lot of fun- open in all registers and once I got warmed up on it the partials began to slot effortlessly, though no one makes that horn sound as good as Marshall!
