Ring is to small for the hook. If your giving instruction then pay attention to the details.
Hi @keyjam9, thank you for the comment, but unsure why you feel the Masterlink is the incorrect size, it sits freely on the hook, it is not snagging at all. Always willing to learn if you can explain your thoughts?
I like the music, it's very distracting.
Really helpful , as I am looking to do my slinger signaller soon .

I'm am aware a lift supervisor has to undertake 6 planned lift every 6 months which are recorded in the supervisors CPD, who oversees these lifts? Help would be appreciated. Great video btw !!
What’s nob
Thanks, but why do half of your live signals not match the graphic?
Thanks but its a training aid!
I like this video cz very good
Who prepared a 3d lifting plan sir?
very useful thanks
Irabo
Everything accept the practice as you teach us ..But the reality on Site Location they( site management) Never give enough time to do this they just want Set the carne and start Lift that's it
Nice and sweet
Master links bit small fr the hook and no tag line
Weres rhe tag line
Why would you need a tag line on that lol. Maybe if it's 12 ft tubes
Just looked at this video and noticed that the master ring is incorrectly sized for the crane hook.
Hi Stuart, thank you for the comment, but unsure why you feel the Masterlink is the incorrrect size, it sits freely on the hook, it is not snagging at all. Always willing to learn if you can explain your thoughts?
@@CornerbrookLifting it doesn't fit freely on the hook. Open your eyes. There is an obvious gap between the link and hook. Puting outward pressure on the link. Arrogance doesn't suit you.
I'd like to point out that the text you've given for slew left and right is opposite to what the video shows. It's stating the singer's left and right, rather than the crane driver's.
You are correct, the text should have said, slew to the direction I am pointing (left or right)
Big confidence ❤
All I can add is most of the time they're nothing but a bloody nuisance ,you pick something up , you know where it needs to go and you have some fool point in telling you to slew left as if there would be any sense in slewing the other way the only time you need a signaller is when you cannot see the load or where it's going
In the real world, yes, but not in training, lol
Good to know
@@unknwn0470 I had one banksman 90 degrees to my left when I wa sputting steel up and because I was watching the load ,he was screaming " watch me " so I go tout and asked him if he knew where it was going why wouldn't I ? steel erectors are the same ,they love to waving their arms an dshouting directions .all the have to do is sit wherever the piece is going and it's easier just to pu tit in front of them
Best and clarest support video I have seen in a long time! Perfect, thank you
Big Respect
Great demonstration
Absolutely bull shit
The graphics didn't always match the correct signals but still better than nothing.
Wow! Its a training aid.
Hold on...he put the slings directly on the hook block with no shackle plus the slings where twisted
Hi Fireblaster9961. It May be worth you looking at the BS EN 1492-1 Part -1 Flat woven webbing slings, (Textile Slings). Refer to Annex D (sub section D.3.2) You can read up on safe use of slings. The paragraph refers to using slings on the hook and gives guidance on the size and maximum angle that the sling eye can be used at, i.e., 20 degrees. So, no need for a shackle. Maybe you work in another country with different standards. As for as the sling having a twist in it, yes ideally you try not to have a twist in the slings, but this is difficult in the real world if you’re using 6M slings. If we look at the load that is being lifted, less than 200KG. Using the correct mode factor to calculate the safe working load of both slings combined =1.12T. I don`t feel the sling was miss used in anyway but thank you for your comment.
If you give me these signals I will throw my half bottle of water at you... but then I am not a pom either lol
Thank you guys 👍 short and well explained
Cheers, glad it was useful for you 🙂
@@CornerbrookLifting it is indeed, I’m constantly recapturing everything I do within construction industry, and find this video very informative, robust and to the point . Signals well explained, great job 🤝
