Some of these videos are shared videos that I like. They do not necessarily represent my views on life only that they are about people and events that are in Morgantown's history.

Lou Birurakis tells us about his 90 years living in the Scotts Run and Morgantown, WV areas. Lou played football for WVU as a walk-on having never played high school football and later built many of the bridges and buildings around Morgantown including the WVU Coliseum.

These two Gentlemen are legends in Morgantown, WV and are loved by so many of us in Morgantown. Both attended the recent baseball event that was held at MHS in April 2023 that honored the 1970 MHS baseball team. Both coached the 1970 MHS team that helped restart baseball at MHS after an approximate 10 year lull in the sport at MHS. They were so helpful with our HOMETOWN TEAMS SMITHSONIAN EXHIBITIN 2014 at the History Museum..

My two well loved actors are from Morgantown David Selby aka Richard Channing from Falcon Crest and Don Knotts aka Mr Furley from Threes Company
Morgantown is basically PA so of course it's not hillbilly.
I think the 1st time seeing Don was Mr. Limpet, then the Ghost and Mr. Chicken. Then watching him in Mayberry as the sheriff's deputy. When I was an adult I saw him on Three's Company. I believe a little bit of the actor's own personality is part of the performance. Don's smile and enjoyment shines through. He was a real talent.

My husband & I are looking to move out of Florida, we're interested in Morgantown thanks to the Fallout 76 video game! That clocktower, unmistakable, to us that's Vault Tec University! I'm watching this to further research the area, thanks for a wonderful virtual tour 😀
@Subuwu Life long story short, hubby told his work he was leaving & they offered him a promotion with a pretty high pay rise. Sadly, where he works doesn't have a place in WV. Weighing up the odds we've had to put our plans on hold but give it a couple years, we'll look into it again.
@Subuwu Life could you consider renting out your house via a realtor? Moving like this is a very scary thing indeed. I've moved a lot but the 2 biggest moves I ever did was moving from the UK to the arctic circle then 4 years later back to UK, 6 months later I upsticks & moved to the USA. It is scary but also very exciting. If you are really worried though, rent out your house. At least it means you have something to come back to if you need to. Rentals are snapped up incredibly fast in FL so you won't have difficulty there 👍

AS a history man I must relate to you that your name is famous in the Morgantown area. There were two coeds murdered in 1970 and it is currently being investigated again as a cold case. One of the girls names was Karen Ferrell.

I’m looking to visit this year… I like the idea of living away from the East Coast but I’m used to the more Bohemian atmosphere of Greenwich Village… so Morgantown seems like the best option… we’ll see….
