    A mule is hard to break, I miss breaking horses. I thought about bull riding, but once I broke my first horse, I said no this is it for me. I like your breaking saddle, it’s really sharp looking.

    Just a little accident. Nothing huge.🤷 When you work with critters, anything can happen. It's up to us, the "smarter" animal, to learn their triggers and don't trigger their fear.

    Man why are you worshipping the imitator. Black Americans use to dominate horse racing until we got kicked out due to Racism. We set records that haven’t been broken till this day. We was the best trainers and jockeys. Know your history

    You can still do that here in Texas. Horses are known as the first means of transportation and know one can tell you that you can't ride your horse to town

    This is the first time I’ve watched a race horse trainer with any enthusiasm. The training seems to be the same as any other horse until you introduce them to the track. Then you pour on that part of the training. From that day on their whole life is to please you by doing this for you. Every now and then you come across one that would run his heart out to please, and the right conformation to really do great things. It seems to me that quarter horse racing is not a cookie cutter type of racing but more of a run what you brung type of racing. You seem to have a very special situation going on with this young horse. Good luck!

    I have ridden mammoth donkeys, mules, horses. They are very different. I prefer mules now and that’s what I ride. I get far better results by being a kind attentive person who pays attention to her health and comfort. I’m slow and steady and not loud. That doesn’t mean I let her run all over me but when I want something or don’t want something behaviorally I never use force but just slow and steady paying attention to little signals that communicate with her, like body language. I try to be as consistent as possible so she knows what to expect. When I first got the mule I now have (about 10 years ago) she was well trained but nervous, jumpy, scared of hands, spray bottles, tools, even rocks or down logs when we rode in the mountains. She has none of those problems now. Not one of those issues did I address by breaking or forcing but by patience, repetition, consistency. I don’t even have to worry about her getting loose on the trail anymore because if she does I just walk away and she follows and then comes to me. She and I are friends now and even when something unexpected happens like a wolf encounter we had a few years ago, she gets a little nervous etc., but stays the course and I am able to handle her safely because she trusts me. I’m 73 years old and have no desire to try to hang on or control a large animal that is fighting to get free. Sorry to sound preachy but earning a mules trust is a lot safer than trying to force them to do anything. One last bit, mules are very smart and do not forget. Some will wait years to get you in a position where they can pay you back and they are very inventive. Good luck.

    Alright, now, just to be fair, you give the mule a ride. It looks like you could. Thanks for the video 👍 Can you breed a horse to a donkey and get a 🫏 mule? Or just a donkey to a mare?

    • @mikeclark9731
      @mikeclark9731 10 днів тому

      If you breed horse to donkey you get a henny… it won’t be as big or durable as a mule
