2009 Dodge Charger Starter Issues and Fix!!

On September 5, 2015 I found a fix for a starter issue I was having on my 2009 Dodge Charger. The car would not turn over to start. I was going to change out the $200.00 start but found the solution was the starter relay fuse, which is a $15 dollar fix... God is good all the time and save me alot of money. CHECK IT OUT IF ARE HAVING STARTER ISSUES. THANK YOU.

shit I just took my '14 charger outta the shop for $8550 tune up and a day and a half later it wont even crank, only computer and lights turn on.

My friend got a charger 2008, sometimes it doesn’t start right away you hear the engine started to run but then it stops, but it works after next try, I wish I know what causes this problem

That's a relay not a fuse.
Another alternator diagnosis of a no crank...unless it's locked up or has drained the battery, it's never the alternator on a no crank
At least yours starts up I just changed the starter, alternator, relays are good been kept up on maintenance. It went out for work one day last July then 💥 nothing. It has high mileage but still 🤔

Would this work on my '15 challenger? I just got a new battery and my car cranks but won't start. I narrowed it down to the fuel pump, alternator or starter.

You’re a hero man! Helped my friend out with this fix after his car wouldn’t start in a parking lot. There was an auto parts shop in the parking lot and we fixed it in no time. I feel like mechanic now!

Why is that red light staying on on the dash?? Mine is on and it won't start nor will it turn over. The mechanic said that it's the ignition itself that's actually bad.
On my car it was the fuse that needed to switched out.
@@jeesquivel08 I see. But this guy is telling me the ignition switch because when I got the car the key was all taped up. Said it's the ignition 😩. Is any fuses underneath the dash?? My battery and fuse box is in the trunk.
@@ms.m.murphy3453 no the fuses that need to be changed is the hood. If the key is tape it might simply be the key that needs to be changed. The key is like $150 with someone to program it.
@@jeesquivel08 I said that too but they need the car to program a new key. I live in Oregon haha EVERYTHING is very expensive here. I want to know about the red dot in your dash. That's what it coming up on mine all of a sudden and not it won't start. I'm wondering could it be the ign switch being that the key was broken when I bought the car now it's just not reading it anymore and the anti theft is on now

two hours for a starter? more like 20 mins
The way to test if it's really the relay is to use a paper clip and tap into two pins that will start the crank up. You do this on the relay socket after you pull it out. Look online to see what I'm talking about. If your car still doesn't crank then it's something else like the ignition switch or the starter itself.
