So encouraged to see viewers across the age spectrum are indeed appreciating! Pl inform in which film theater, at Mysuru, this is being screened. After the Telugu movies, Annamacharya, Bhadrachalam Ramadasu, & Tarikonda Matrushri Venkamamba, of the last decade of the 20 th century, no real movie reflecting the human quest for seeking the Divine, had been out! Say, a generation, was denied their rightful share to lead a satisfactory life! Kannada sandalwood industry, that have had the distinction of being served by the country's eminent litterateurs, Cultural icons, film directors having deep sense of intellectual sensibilities, is quick enough to realise the dire necessity of every age group right across the millennial divide. Other than the Sandalwood film industry, you can't find any others who have caught the pulse! Came Kanthara, the Kannada original, just lifted up the Kannada land& the honour of the Kannadigas to international highs. The iconic movie about Purandhara dasa swamigal and the artistes playing their roles so well, will & should be acclaimed as harbingers of change. Kannada films that are going to hit the screens, which would also be centring on exceptional Saints whose very lives are messages - the real maati k maanush, all in Kannada, will be role models for the Film industry in India, as a whole. Though not a Kannadiga myself, i wish the kannada industry give a template for the other language films. The Kannada moviedom that had an admiring uniqueness, much like the mesmerizing Coffee & Belebaath( plus other veg menus),has been happily regaining their much deserving pole position. How i wish , the Central Government gives incentives & the Entertainment Tax cut to such deeply value based films like this one, across our country. If we really & truly believe in Sabke saath sabh k vikas principle, films like this that unites every one - for instance, the classical music & the very persona of the Dasa varenyaru, with his revolutionary views& understanding of the Divine & the mundanities of life, deserves. The films that would come under this genre should be honoured too.

Namaskara.Comments in Kannada, having so much for every one, wherever they are, and in whichever age they are,must be translated into English & Hindi languages.I should especially thank the present Peetadeeshwar of moola Brundhavana of Shri Axyobhya Teertharu mata,at a place near Teerthahalli,who was a Principal of a PU college,near Ballari,a great sanskrit & Kannada scholar,and one who researched extensively in Dasa sahitya & one who was also helped in mysterious ways by Shri Amara jeevis Purandhara & Shri Kanaka Dasarus in personal life, for his introducing me to many aspects of the Dasa vani sahithya,since i am a Tamizhan,& one who was critical of Dasavani scholars& kalavidharus.Having listened to a Purandhara dasa krithi,Kappu enale bedavu,i concluded that Purandhara has had a revolutionary mindset of talking for the Oppressed Colonised Black Community in Africa,Americas,the Carribbean & Europe, since I research on the colonisation & post- independent ex- colonial regions.In one of my posts, related to this particular keerthana,i requested all the kannada knowing friends around the world,to explain to the ex- colonised friends who have been compelled by the Colonial powers backed powerfully then by the Church authorities,the liberating spirit inherent & made so explicit by our own Hari dasa lineage.The world's History is a living evidence of both actions- the oppression as well as the encouragement to be free & independent!

Your invitation to a film that promises to rekindle the Hari bhakthi bhaavna among the people, is , just fantastic, deserving applause. Seva bhaav is transparent too. Though i am a Tamizhan, i have settled in Rajasthan, but take an active interest in the Spiritual & historical matters of Karnataka. I'm honoured to be an humble follower of Pujya Shri Vidyabhushana Swami ji, who , by his devoted research & renderings of Dasavani, has inspired millions around the world. Pranaams to him& his able daughter, Smt. Medha avaru , for keeping alive the Dasa vani sanskruti, at a time when Sanathana Dharma is being misused & misunderstood. In my previous posts, i've suggested to run a translation of the scenes in Hindi & English languages, in the footages.I recall how an atheist Russian friend of mine, visiting Hampi, for darshan, just melted emotionally, repenting for his past life, upon just hearing Dasa vani of Kanakadasa, Purandhara dasa, rendered by Shri Vidya Bhushana Swami ji, when I played, after attending the Purandara dasa's festival, 5 years ago. A Spanish- speaking couple, touring Hampi, during the same time, began dancing, just on hearing the famous Ishtu dinadha Vykunta, of Shri Kanakadasaru, who had stayed at Rajasthan's Jaipur. None, neither me, nor the Russian nor the Spaniards, could completely understand the eminent Kasthuri Kannada lyrics! We were simply drawn , drawn & melted into the spirit of the Divine! May i say , this short post is only a token of gratitude to everyone involved in the project - shall we say, it's divine- directed? Many many similar products, we should hope, just like that another Divinely - inspired Kantara. May Thaai Bhuvaneshwari ji & ,of course, Shri & Hari & their Dasarus bless every viewer in every visual treat.
