Searching for Canoeable Crown Land Campsites
After a few days of rain, I was finally able to paddle out to search for possible crown land campsites. Watch as I explore the area and finally the nearby creek and find some suitable sites to canoe into.

There are only 2-3 good campsites on this lake. Very short paddle in. Twelve caches to paddle to. Another area is Herb/Gunn Lake not far from Wheeler. Longer paddle and 9 geocaches in 3 lakes. The phone app c:geo is good. Only available with Android phones. The official geocaching app will work though on both androids and iphones. Glad you enjoy the videos.

Nice video and very descriptive. A friend and I backpacked that same trail the last weekend in July and had a great time. If you can ever get to the top of the falls, it's a great place for a break and to get your feet wet. It's a great trail and a solid workout. We stayed at Campsite 3 Zone 2. It was my 2nd time there. Keep on hiking and thanks for sharing your trip!

Great video, Gary! We did this trail for the first time as our first overnight camp of the year in May. The water was high, so the falls were raging! And those little streams you cross along the trail, ended up being full-blown rivers coming down the side of the hill! Even more so on the morning after the heavy rains...It was more than a bit of a challenge. We have a video up if you want to see the falls at spring flow 😁
