Thanks for this weeks update! While I myself have no affiliation with Chaminade, my cousin is currently a student there. I graduated from McQuaid Jesuit HS in 2012, and they just completed their own STEM addition. As a STEM alumni (and now back to being a STEM grad student) it’s great to see high schools investing in updated STEM facilities for students. The better we can show students how awesome STEM is, the more likely it is that they will go on to college and become scientifically literate and educated by obtaining STEM degrees. I like to say that having a STEM degree really means only one thing: it’s the biggest indicator that an individual is a certified problem solver. STEM students can go onto solve all problems (including non-STEM ones) more easily than non-STEM students can because of the problem solving processes that they learn.
