Just to say something i'm captain of the bass line and there was soposed to be a gap because our bass 2 cracked her anckle and was only aloud to do half of the show.

My band is doing this show this year, but the drill is next to impossible. Also, we have 5 trumpets, 1 mello, 6 color guard, and no drumline, just a 10 person pit. We made some changes to the music, but the show is epic

@tozer2011 Well I go to WCU with David Starnes as the director so I knew all this. My high school just went through a director change and they had problems even though they are considered one of the top programs in our state. It happens to the best of bands and the loss at WCU for kennesaw cause them to be kickass at Atlanta.

oh my! yal sound good, and i love yals show this year. i seen yal perform last year at some competition yal sounded good last year and yal sound good this year(: i go to Forestview high school. yal are killer. and i love the sound of the susa line they sound grand, im a susaphone player. hopefully ill see yal at a competition next year. yesterday was our last competition. ): but yall do good now(:

Nation Ford brought MAartin Dickey with them to their program, whom I believe won what, 10+ state championships with Fort Mill? Aside from that fact, BS Had a great finals run and we were very pleased with it. Nation Ford was, in my opinion, the best band that night. White Knoll beat BS in prelims at Olde English, but couldn't do it when it counted in finals. Nation Ford and BS have both tremendous programs this year. so don't try to pull rank with class size.

@tozer2011 Dude seriously? Get over yourself. we got what we deserved. last year is history put in the book. theres no going back to the Human Element. A completely new show that is original is better than a copy of last years. just saying

@drmbeaufort What "resources" does Wando have that BS does not? If BS is an elite school then they would not lose to a program that is only in its 5th season. I want BS to do well. I was excited for them last year. I thought they got a tough draw at Grand Nationals and everyone thought they should have advanced to the SemiFinal round. I went to the Olde English Festival with high hopes for BS only to be disappointed and futhermore when NG topped them at WCU

@drmbeaufort You are thinking too short sighted. I am talking about building an overall program not not reliant on individual members that come and go. Look at Wando. They have a program that is consistently great and build upon each year. I dont think you would have seen them lose to White Knoll and Nation Ford this year. And you can say that each year a program should be moving forward and if you beat bands in the past, an elite program would do so again.

@drmbeaufort My point is that BS is taking a step back from last year where they did very well, and even were a legit challenger to Wando at state. BS placed 5th at the ATL BOA super regional. One would expect that BS would build on last year's success and move forward. WCU was theirs for the taking. Regarding NF, if you read my previous comments carefully, you will see that i never said that they werent good. NF is a very good band but BS beat them last year at WCU and should have again

@jcstate14 yes, Kennesaw lost its director who went to WCU. Kell's director is now at Kennesaw. They are still in the process of cleaning their show as I believe they just put the closer on the field in the beginning of Oct.

Boiling Springs beat Kennesaw on the same night 2 other bands did so it was not a big accomplishment. It wasnt like BS was the only band to beat Kennesaw. White Knoll should have beat BS in Finals at Olde English as well. I was there. The point is that BS should not be losing to White Knoll and Nation Ford. I can understand losing to Wando but being the biggest program in the state they should do much better this year. They finished 2nd at WCU last year to a great band harrison

@drmbeaufort The reason Kennesaw Mountain is not as great this year as in years past is becuase the band just went through a director change and is very young in terms of members.

How does a 5A band lose to a 3A band? what happened to Boiling Springs this year? Last year they were great but this year losing to Nation Ford and White Knoll the week before?
