Why is that idiot standing in front of the car while it's staging? Imagine if something went wrong with the car and it took off early, and he got chopped into many pieces. It's not like it's your reliable family automobile. Is it like a machismo thing?

A few people complained about the time it took from start up to the actual "take off", this because turbines need to go thru their check list before staging. If you have ever traveled in an airplane the pilot and co-pilot does the very same thing...the engine check list. Turbines are required to do this as it is a giant firey air compressor and does not have pistons or a lumpy cam shaft.
