I have been in sandakan twice and I loved the slow paced life. The saddest is always the sandakan memorial park where senseless young men cut short during the war.

YOU MISSED THE TTWO BEST!!! No mention of Mari Mari Cultural Village and Kokol Haven. Best two things to do in KK

KK is most beautiful city to visit . It is South China Sea at one side and mount Kinabalu at the other makes it wonderful . Good people to live with .

They raise crocs for its hide/skin for leather products like shoes, belts, bags and stuff. None of the body parts go to waste. The meat is sold to restaurant and is a delicacy

Looks like it has developed a lot since the mid 80s, when I spent the night on a bench in the totaly deserted airport, waiting for the morning flight to Sandakan.

In a borneo island, so many foreigners around the world mostly goes to KK. More tourist from different countries than Kuching, Sarawak

Nice info! I have visited Sandakan a few times but only managed to visit Agnes Keith House and the Sandakan Memorial Park. Definitely will go to the other attractions soon!
