What do you mean by “problems”. What’s happening or not happening? But if some lights are not blacking out when you push the button it could be because the lights don’t have a dimmer channel. If this is the case. You’ll have to go in and edit the fixture profile, specifically the color channels or dimmer channels and make sure the box is checked that says something like (controlled by master fader).

Hello Niklas, I have attached a link to a video I did for instances like this. Watch this video. Once you've done that set the "home" value for that lamp on channel to 104. Doing this means that the channel will always be at 104 unless you manually adjust that channel's value. You can hit clear, blackout, really anything and nothing will change that value unless you purposely change it... like at the end of the night when you want to lamp off, you would go to the channels page on your iPad and take that channel to 0. This is happening because you're using the wrong app. The app you want is called Airstream Link. Although they are very similar, because you are using the wrong app, the controller cannot connect. Once you have the correct app downloaded and the controller has connected to the iPad you will see "01".

Unfortunately the "record steps" feather that is available in the color fx screen is not available in the pan/tilt fx window. I can bring it up to Ken the developer but it's a toss up as to whether or not he will take the time to develop and implement something like that. For me, I would do that using the scenes buttons. The scenes buttons(if recorded properly) are an LTP format which means your movings could be doing anything whether it be a movement effect or static position and when you trigger a scene button those values take precedence over the previously used values. Example, you've got your movers running a ballyhoo effect on the stage, and that effect scene at the moment is only talking to pan/tilt values. At any point of you triggered a new scene containing pan/tilt values the movers would stop the effect and move into the positions set within that scene button. Additionally, and you may already be doing this but if not it will make life easier on you... but when you create a movement(pan/tilt) effect... are you also saving that effect as a scene or just leaving it in the FX page and triggering it there. I ask because for me, I figured out that once an FX button is created, you can trigger that FX from the FX page and then navigate to the scenes page and hit save, which will then allow you to save the FX as a scene button so you don't have to go back and forth between scenes and fx pages during a show. Doing this will allow you to set static positions as one row of scenes and moving fx on another, and colors on another row, and special(like prisms gobos, zoom values, etc) on the last row... Thus allowing you to sessionally stage on one page within the scenes page to do almost everything.

@@riverrat7797 I am working to get these FX added as Scenes, running from scenes is a lot easier I agree. I came from using Onyx and not really good at using that one either. haha, the link is a lot easier but I just have to remember there are some limitations. I will get it built into a scene, I am really hoping the next update Ken adds the ability to use a Focus on the SUBS faders. that one would I think help on these cheaper lights in the wild. Thank you for all you do and these videos. I have watched a bunch of them.

This is really hard to figure out without more info. regardless of the universes, the effects engine should only apply to the lights selected prior to running the effects. However... It could be possible that you have some lights with the same addresses as that of what was selected. If so, then even though these other lights were not selected, the effect would apply to them since they share the same address as lights that were selected. I am not referring to a light on universe 1 being addressed as 001 and the light addressed on universe 4 bring addressed the same(001). I mean that if you have multiple lights on the same universe that share the same address. But again, I could be going off on a tangent here that may not even apply to your challenge.

I’m not sure how that would be needed as the Airstream Pro app doesn’t work with any hardware that used physical faders.

Can you be more descriptive with your request. Choosing old/even fixtures can easily be done by creating odd/even groups. But again, I may not be sure what you’re asking. And when you say “fanning” are you referring to fanning p/t on movers for static positions? Once I understand your request better I can relay to Ken who’s is the developer of the app. No promises but it’s worth putting it out there.

This is likely because there is nothing playing underneath the scene. I'll try to explain. When you hit a cue, whether it's normal or momentary flash, you are telling the app to recall channel values that likely include values for the shutter/strobe and dimmer values along with other values. So doing so tells the dimmer and shutter to go up. So then releasing removes those shutter values. So when creating cues you have to be almost methodical(on any board really) by thinking ahead of what channels are left with values when a scene is triggered or released. It might be helpful to create a scene where the only channels used are shutter/strobe and dimmer and call it "DIMMER AT FULL". Doing this will allow you to trigger that AT FULL cue and than stack other cues on top, so that when a cue is release that has dimmer values, the underlying cue, AT FULL, is still on.

... Another way to do this would be to creat the AT FULL cue I mentioned above, and then create color cues that DO NOT include dimmer values.

Yes. In the the screen that comes up when saving a look, there is a box that you can check called "momentary flash". Check that box and the button will act like a bump button which will activate when your finger is on the button and deactivate when your finger is off.

We just got the controller in, I am trying to create generic looks for staring points for church services ie pre service, welcome, worship teaching. We have house lights, and stage pars and dimmer packs on stage to control the Christmas trees. For what ever reason it will only save the first channel of the stage dimmer packs. Not sure why? also after you save a scene is there a way to view and edit it? Or do you have to just overwrite

@@thomasfrank1136 The app that this console uses very much so depends on channel names. Since you’re referring to dimmer packs, etc, you’ll want to make sure all channels be it 4, 8, 16, or 24 channels are labeled as “dimmer”. If they are labeled as dimmer 1, dimmer 2, and so on, the controller may get confused due to the numbers because it’s specifically looking for channels called “dimmer”. This may cure your issue and may not. Could you provide I pic of the channels view showing the virtual faders screen when the look is doing what you want, and then another of the same screen when only the first channel is working?

Nevermind, I think I figured it out. Seems like you can only select multiple scenes as long as they are in different rows. Ex: scenes 1 and 9 can stack but 9 and 10 cannot. Looks like thats what's happening in this video as well. Thanks for uploading!

All you need to do is go into the profile editor and change the names of the channels that are switched.

Not sure what country or state you are in but these days very few places actually keep inventory on items over $300. So you wont find this in stock at any big box music store like Sam Ash or Guitar Center. Might be best to order online from a preferred retailer. You can connect wirelessly via the 2.4 and 5 ghz network created by the console over WiFi. However, if you prefer a wireless connection you’ll need to buy a lighting to USB adapter and then you can use the supplied usb cable along with the adapter to connect directly to the console. To edit the scene name, go to the “list” section by pressing on the 4 horizontal bars in the upper left corner while in the scenes page. When I’m the list window you should be able to tap on the scene and edit it’s name. Regarding a temporary momentary flash. If you playback you scenes in “subs” mode. Press the upper button just above that scene’s fader. It’s a bump button. The one below it brings that scene to full

I haven’t tried that but I think you can do that by adjusting the “fan” fader all the way. If not, just have to invert the pan on one of the lights.

Unfortunately there is not a way to invert p/t through the console/app but most fixtures allow you to do that manually through the on-board menu on the light.

@@riverrat7797 But then it will be inverted for every scene, I just want it inverted for a couple scenes. Have the developers make a new function, it can't be hard. The ADJ link is a basic controller, not worth a $1000. I never wish I purchased mine, very very basic programs... The jog wheels don't work during live scenes. Should be able to at least do the speed with the jog wheels.

@@michaelvillanueva6862 I’m sorry you feel that way. You’re welcome to spend $4500+ on a console that does what you want. I can bring up your request to the developers but you have to keep in mind the brain for this whole system is an iPad which has limitations. I can tell you’re not someone who takes the time to read the manual, to be honest, nor am I. But you can adjust the speed of a scene during live playback when in subs mode, that’s what that little knob is for above the fader.

@@michaelvillanueva6862 I’m sorry if that comment came off abrasive. It wasn’t meant to. It’s just frustrating when people complain about spending Honda money and expecting bmw features. I sent the developer a request to look into this feature. It could definitely be useful and I’ll post a video if they decide to implement this feature. The challenge of using an iPad is that when you layer code on top of code on top of code, it can create bugs and/or latency issues. I know of PC-based software controllers that can run circles around the link for less money. But I feel too many purchase this unit expecting it to be able to offer features of a full fledged concert level console and then get upset when it doesn’t work that way. All good on my end Michael, keep the constructive criticism coming, just be nice. Lol.

Unfortunately, the adapter is necessary because there isnt a way to plug in a normal USB in the iPad. We dont include the adapter because some iPads have USB-C and some have lightning.
