5 Ways to Teach Your Kids About Money (Even if You Feel Unqualified)
In this video, I'll explain how you CAN teach your kids good money habits, even if you feel unqualified. The truth is, when it comes to teaching children about money, most parents feel inadequate. It’s hard to feel qualified when you’re not doing great with your own money. Good news! You’re more than capable of teaching your kids about money.

The Exchange companies are shit....end of story. If your in a Time Share, rent it until you can learn the actual easy how to get out of it on your own. This way you can recover some of the carry cost until you can teach yourself how to Terminate (not Exit-that's an idiot word). Feel free to reach out to me and be amazed at what you don't know which is hiding in plain sight, you just don't see it. It' took me over 6 plus months to understand- I am in complete control, not the Resort/Time Share folks. This is for a Deeded condition only. I only know this condition that I can speak to.

Thanks for your video! Here are my thoughts - Italians do not drink all day - perhaps on holiday but not everyday - a normal family won’t have wine with dinner everyday. Their food too is different at home than when they eat out on special occasions , they eat a lot of fresh veggies and fruit, small amounts of meat, flavorful pasta but not with all the thick sauces and cheese we have. They also don’t drive much - there are often small markets on every block and often vegetable markets close by. Italians stay healthier than Americans because the walk a lot.

We absolutely love our Marriott vacation club. They are amazing places they are. The Chick-fil-A of hotels is what we call it. The one thing I would have done was to look for one that was being sold by an owner. That is the only thing I would’ve changed.! We are just fortunate to be able to have a lot of time off throughout the year and we can afford the maintenance fees. We have never felt pressure of upgrading when we go to the presentation. We take our time and maximize the points that we have to be able to use them. One big example is booked vacation in the middle of the week Wednesday or Thursday leave Wednesday or Thursday. You only use 70% of your point usage. If you book Sunday to Sunday or Saturday Saturday, you use 100% of your point value therefore you won’t get a second vacation that year. Also getting the room on the beach, we use it on the second building. There are a few ways that you can adjust stuff like this to be able to get three beautiful vacations a year. I also play a lot of golf and with Marriott you can play golf for free at the best resorts in Myrtle Beach and Hilton head in Williamsburg. Saving me $300-$600 per vacation on Green fees. Again this time share works for our family. It doesn’t work with a lot of others so I can definitely see where people wouldn’t think there was a benefit. The biggest cost savings of a timeshare is having a full kitchen for a week having two boys that eat all the time and lunch is always at the house like at home. This becomes a big savings. I couldn’t imagine spending $50-$60 for breakfast and then again at lunch. It’s all how you use your timeshare in my opinion and again it may not be right for most family, but it’s definitely beneficial for ours .

Americans are so much more hospitable, I do know that. Coming from the American South, I could tell the difference right away. Also, I think Italian food is super overrated.

Italians had the reputation of being great savers, even though they knew how to enjoy the small pleasures of life. At least in the North (but not only) accumulating savings rather than squandering them to make useless purchases just to show off was considered a virtue (not surprisingly, rich families for several generations were generally stingy; the vulgarity of consumerism and waste was more typical of the enriched). Regarding talking casually about your money, my grandmother used to say: "Children show their butts while stupid people show their money" :-)

When you make broad sweeping generalizations, you generally make a mistake of some sort. With timeshares, my personal experience says you got it wrong when it comes to Disney's. We bought our Disney timeshare in 2000, for about $8000 after incentives. Today, I could sell it within days for more than double that price. There is a robust resale market for them because folks want to be on Disney property when they visit. Our annual fees are about $1000. Of course they will go up, because property taxes go up over time, costs for replacement of major reserve items (like a roof) go up over time, and so on. Now, we've gotten many times our investment back over the past 24 years. Go look at the nightly rates for Disney on-site suites in 2000 vs. today. Those prices go up annually. And then there's the Hawaii property which is included. We've visited there for probably 15 nights, and going again in 2025. Those go for $750 and up nightly if paying out of pocket. Unlike other timeshares, we're not locked into any particular week. We go when we want. We have an annual point allocation and can use as much as we like each year or carry over to the next year. Lastly, there is no hard sell or gifts offered by Disney for attending a sales presentation. The representative basically says "Here is what we're offering. If you like it that's great. If not, that's OK too, it's not for everyone". No pressure at all. I went to the presentation, went home and thought about it for a couple weeks, then called back and paid for it. Our only regret - that we did not buy sooner. So, though most timeshares might not be worth it, there is at least one that is. Oh, and as far as Dave Ramsey's recommended company to get you out of a timeshare - complete fraud/scam. Do some research.

I´ve heard a lot of weird stuff in the last months that I didn´t know about Americans and now I´m very confused. It appears that Americans aren´t straight in their question and answers as Europeans. So, If I make a mistake whatsoever, there always will be someone who will point out this mistake,, saying, this is wrong. It appears that Americans don´t do that at all. How can a country function like that?

They dont evdb lower theur voices in restaurants etc. Im assuming bc he is American himself, that he has no idea how loud Americans actually are.

How valuable is a waikiki studio at the Kuhio Banyan Club in regards to trading? I love the Wyndham Waikiki Beach walk and would like access to trade to it. A week there is usually way out of my price range. I once got a week for $800 there and have been looking several times a year for availability but its always $4,000+. Oh just saw the ending, timesharesbyowner 👍

Our parents bought into the timeshares about 30 years ago and are now trying to pawn it off onto us. We don’t want it, and we have never wanted it. We’ve always thought it was a bad deal. We don’t even use it except when they reserve the days for the whole family. (So in a way, we are forced to use it.) We are trying to figure out a way to get them to get out of it. It’s literally eating them out of house & home! Ugh!!!

My wife and I both have walking disabilities. When we were in Roma we got around by taxis. The taxi cab drivers were hilarious! Driving very fast on very narrow roads, casually conversing the whole time with us. Super friendly people but not nosey. In 5 trips to Western Europe Italy is on the top of our list for everything.
