BS"D with love, from Jerusalem, to Temple Beth Shalom and to my other Jewish-American brothers & sisters, NO. Go DIRECTLY to Israel. Do not pass "GO". Do NOT collect $200. This nonsense is sickeningly ironic, and I am indeed sickened after listening. Hearing this embarrassment, repeating Isaiah's rebuke of Babylon, from her fake temple within Christendom, is just too much to bear. Her family and her congregation, who have not already assimilated, are in danger. She is trapped in the dead-end philosophies of an exiled Jew. This is the opposite of Jewish leadership. It's exile enforcement. She no longer remembers the overriding principles in the most simple Torah commandments. It is a sad thing to see. At a certain point, neglecting an important _positive_ commandment becomes sinful. This leads to death, and not to a long, blessed life. I'm not exaggerating. See verse 40 below. Jews! Read the words of our great teacher Moses yourself in the Torah of Sinai! You must go, without delay, to the marked place (ZION) that Hashem has designated. It is %100 clear from the commandments as they are written. All this poor excuse for a Rabbi knows, is to mimic Christian behavior, blindly following whatever course of action appears to be most virtuous. What absolutely skewed priorities for a Jewish leader. Young Jews! Do NOT build a career or a romantic relationship in the United States. You'll spend less money on University in Israel, and you should probably serve in the IDF first anyways. For males of fighting age, this is very clearly required by Hashem. To delay building one's family and career, and dedicate 2 or 3 years to your people, is a noble cause indeed. You'll be a better person on the other side. You'll be speaking Hebrew. (a most valuable gift) You'll have a way better chance of meeting the right person here to start a family with, and Israelis _seriously LOVE_ babies and young mothers, who make all the babies. The time is now. Theodore Herzl was an unbeliever. ZIONISM = MOSAIC LAW given to you at MT. And now, O Israel, give heed to the laws and rules that I am instructing you to observe, so that you may live to enter and occupy the land that יהוה, the God of your fathers, is giving you. 4:5 רְאֵה לִמַּדְתִּי אֶתְכֶם חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוַּנִי יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהָי לַעֲשׂוֹת כֵּן בְּקֶרֶב הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם בָּאִים שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃ See, I have imparted to you laws and rules, as my God יהוה has commanded me, for you to abide by in the land that you are about to enter and occupy. 4:14 וְאֹתִי צִוָּה יְהֹוָה בָּעֵת הַהִוא לְלַמֵּד אֶתְכֶם חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים לַעֲשֹׂתְכֶם אֹתָם בָּאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃ At the same time יהוה commanded me to impart to you laws and rules for you to observe in the land that you are about to cross into and occupy. 4:30 בַּצַּר לְךָ וּמְצָאוּךָ כֹּל הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה בְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים וְשַׁבְתָּ עַד־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ וְשָׁמַעְתָּ בְּקֹלוֹ׃ when you are in distress because all these things have befallen you and, in the end, return to and obey your God יהוה. Observe God’s laws and commandments, which I enjoin upon you this day, that it may go well with you and your children after you, and that you may long remain in the land that your God יהוה is assigning to you for all time.
It was real pleasure to write a new piece for the retiring choir director, Linda Moot who has directed fascinating programs at Temple Shalom for many years. Here's a translationP At the Creation Genesis 2:15 God took and placed the human in the garden of Eden, to work it and to guard it. Time passed, and humans sang songs of praise for the creation and all it had become. Psalm 148:7-10 Praise God from the earth, sea monsters and all you deeps, fire and hail, snow and smoke, storm-wind that performs God's command, the mountains and all the hills, fruit trees and all the cedars, wild beasts and all the cattle, creeping things and winged birds. But something went wrong. Perilously wrong. The beauty of earth suffered from injustice. So said the prophet Isaiah. Isaiah 24:1, 3-4 Behold! God is about to sap the earth and strip it, contort its face and scatter its dwellers. The earth is bleak, has withered; forlorn, the world has withered; the most exalted people of earth, forlorn. Isaiah 24:19-20 Shattered; the earth is shattered, all broken to pieces the earth, Toppled, the earth has toppled. Hope for the future of earth returns, a time when sky, sea and fields can again rejoice. Psalm 96:11-12 Let the heavens rejoice and the earth exult; let the sea and its fullness thunder. Let the field be glad and all that is in it; then shall all the trees of the forest joyfully sing.
