xiaomi home app can't ''see'' the repeater. When i m going to set up manually, at 100% it fails. why?

Here is the solution to those who is on a loop trying to set up this device. If you have a dual band router (5G/2G), then you need to connect to 2g network first. Then, go to your HOME app, add this device and let it connect under the 2G network. Once, connected and you are asked to bring the device closer to the router, switch your connection to your 5G network. Voila! You have succesfully set it up!

For those who are experiencing 5G connection failure, do the following: 1° update the Mi Home app 2° clear the app's cache and data 3° log back into the app (Singapore region) 4° reset the Xiaomi Mi AC1200 5° access your Wi-Fi networks and connect to the Xiaomi network 6° and last step, go back to the Mi Home app and try again This is the only way it worked for me... I spent days and weeks trying and it always failed, until I found the solution... I hope this helps you!

My biggest problem with this camera and DDPAI in general is the lack of an emergency button. HUGE oversight on their part. I bought an X5 Pro a year ago thinking it had an emergency button. It was the only button on the camera and I thought for sure it was an emergency button… but no, it was an audio on/off button! Seriously DDPAI?? The only button on the camera is something I can do in the app? It’s astounding to me how many dash cams don’t come with emergency buttons, and in the case of DDPAI, it’s an absolute deal-breaker. Otherwise, they make excellent cameras. It’s unfortunate :/

i have a problem with this product, I cannot connect it to an open router (no password).. you still need to input password to the network you need to connect the ac1200 even if it is an open network

Warning siapa yang mau beli 70mai, kat Malaysia tak sesuai selalu overheat dan shutdown. Dan bila sentuh Sdcard sana sangat bahaya lebih 100 degree. Ddpai lagi safe.

IT'S A USELESS PRODUCT! TRIED TO CONNECT AND SET UP BUT FAILED AS ALWAYS

I have this exact model, DO NOT RECOMMEND. It works great for like a month, then it becomes so fkn shitty and disconnects regularly and won't reconnect untill you restart it multiple times (if ever), it'd disconnect for 15mins every day.

This range extender sucks. It has many issues when setting up, then after you finally successfully connect it, it says the wifi signal is weak even if the source wifi is only about 10-15 meters away in the other room. Xiaomi sucks.
