In the structured JSON response that comes back from UA-cam or any API, Bubble is going to transform it to a list of things you can operate on, i.e. use one of the colon statements like :count. If you can know the dynamic count of however many items there are then you're good to go. So it doesn't matter, as you say, "and you do not know how many there are" because that's not true, you do know if you use the :count operator. I will do my best to explain where 13:36 at where I say "actually you know what" I am clicking that list and you can see the :count operator displayed there. If I had clicked on :count in that exact moment, it's what you'd put into the total_item_count field and it would know how many loops to run through regardless of what comes back from the API for a given time period. Hi you're welcome. The way it works is that however a person first signs up for your app is the method they must continue to use for future sign ins. So if any given account is created with email, it can only sign in again via email not a sign on method like this. And if the account is created with a 3rd party sign on like this Microsoft one, or Google, or Apple, or Facebook, then the account owner must continue to sign on with that same method. But remember the real goal is ease of use, and that can still be achieved for email account sign ups if you check the channel for the video about how to keep users logged in, Bubble can provide up to a 365 day cookie so people don't have to re-log in -- which in my book meets the requirement for ease of use, even if this additional "nice vs must-have" requirement of switching login methods isn't possible. Hi thanks for the comment -- what do you mean by scroll directions? If you only mean the vertical scroll depth of the page, then yes. But if you mean some kind of horizontal scrolling repeating group, then I'm not sure. But for the vertical scroll depth to control the display of items, check the animations tutorial on the channel. In that one, it covers how to show an item based on the scroll depth, but hiding would also work the same way. There's an animations mini-course linked to from that video where things get even a little more advanced. Hope that helps.

Here's one to try bubble.io/plugin/daily-video-conferencing--chat-1622494385281x917140771709124600 but there are also others. Depending on if you are considering a web app only or also a mobile app, you'll want to do some research into if it works in the mobile environment. I.e. with a tool like BDK of GoNatively, which you can check with those service providers about that. But if not mobile, then obviously ignore that. Good luck.

Hi glad to hear it helped. It would be similar in that you're setting up API calls like shown but there's additional data management to handle. Meaning, each new message in the conversation is added to the bundle of messages sent over to the API every time you type something new. That way, it can keep track of the evolving conversation. A data configuration that is setup to handle this is available in the full chat configuration resource in the video description. But for full disclosure (1) that resource's intention is more about being able to copy+paste to get up and running in a chat-based UI experience rather than attempt to explain each detail of the configuration and (2) that resource is not for the assistant API but that shouldn't matter because the data structure is the same, the only difference with assistant API is you're getting the extra fine tuning that comes along with building an assistant vs the out-of-the-box general LLM. Let's start here -- the key challenge faced in the scenario you present of a user double clicking for the pin to appear is that the location data of where the pin is clicked is embedded in Google Maps' world and you need to extract that data into Bubble every time the user double clicks. Bubble doesn't know about this clicking action but it does know about the center map position -- hence the solution presented in the video. I do agree there are ways to have a better experience than what is presented here but one of the things that is helpful to grasp early on in software development -- no code or regular code -- is that there is a trade off between the amount of time spent to achieve the exact thing you want versus having a solution you can call "good enough" within under an hour's time. It's up to you in deciding what is a reasonable time investment so if you're still wanting to look, there are other map plugins on Bubble you might try out where developers have extended functionality beyond Bubble's out-of-the-box capabilities so you might try those. It's a very specific item to measure distance but you might try checking out the various plugins where developers have taken the time and effort to extend map functionality beyond what Bubble provides out-of-the-box. I have checked just now and it's working fine. Double check your dynamic blue expression around 3:15 as a starting point, then also check you have installed a Google Maps API key into your Bubble installation per ua-cam.com/video/ouGT55o68ho/v-deo.html.

To create a new page/sheet, use a POST call to sheets.googleapis.com/v4/spreadsheets/1BxiMVs0XRA5nFMdKvBdBZjgmUUqptlbs74OgvE2upms:batchUpdate but replace the spreadsheet id with yours. Hey glad it helped. So what you're facing is a challenge of how to coordinate data in a few lists is all. A list of all the teams. A list of who Team A has played thus far, a list of who Team B has played thus far, etc. When this video was originally created, AI wasn't really on the scene, but it's perfect to untangle and solve challenges like this so I would just give it specifics about the exact setup you're looking to achieve, have it give you an excel sheet of all the lists your keeping tracking of, and maybe a column for each of the workflows to process each of the lists, and see if that -- plus what's in this video -- gets you to the other side. Hi thanks for the question -- you've unchecked your text, image, etc hero elements to not be visible upon page load and they are showing visible upon page load? Check the conditionals tab if there is something making them visible or check that there was no mistake made in hiding the elements upon page load. Worst case scenario is you would rebuild a few elements of your hero page on a new page to dissect just what exactly is the problem. Hope that helps.

Hey good question -- without knowing your exact number or type of form fields, here's a general setup. When Submit button is clicked, put a conditional on the workflow trigger of when field A is empty OR field B is empty (or C, D, etc) show something in the UI that says the user needs to provide more data. And add a second workflow trigger for the same button of when field A is not empty AND field B is not empty (AND C, D, etc) then let the form submit and do the other related workflow actions. Hi great question -- the missing piece is a few workflows to check what is the situation with the current user. First, for users who have accounts AND are logged in -- add an "on page load" event that checks if the user is already signed in, then (a) run the workflows that add the person to the shared space and (b) redirect them there. Second, for users for have accounts BUT are not logged in -- they'd login as per usual but have some conditional checks on the login button that if they're not already added to the workspace that they're accepting the invite to join, then (a) run the workflows that add the person to the shared space and (b) redirect them there. Hi good question -- Google OAuth 2.0 was designed on purpose to not keep a user logged in due to security risks. The advantage of OAuth is that, even it's a few extra clicks to get someone into the app, there is no need to remember yet another password. Hope that helps.

No, because these APIs are huge -- meaning, there are so many options they offer for providing data -- it's hard to make one tutorial that fits all. But good news is each API has the same fundamental steps of authentication + making a call to an endpoint and GPT 4o is pretty decent at helping navigate those two steps.

Hey thanks for the kind words, I'll try and answer but if you can point to the timestamp in the video that would help me be more precise. What it sounds like you're asking about is how Bubble parses JSON in their dynamic blue (or red if it's not fully complete!) expressions. Here's how it works: first, whenever you're using a dynamic expression in Bubble, it has an expected data format to receive. It could be things like a number, a text, a yes/no boolean, AND on top of that it could either a single item of number/text or a list of items of numbers/text. That's one part. Next, whenever we're at a level within the JSON hierarchy where is a list of things below it, it will include an "each item" option and for example, if we did each item's comment, that is how we'd create a list of all the comments. But if it were a single item it is expecting, then it's going to force a choice of :firstitem or item # 4 or whatever. That's a rough overview but without knowing the exact time stamp let's see if that oriented things for how they're working. Hope that helps.

Hey thanks for the comment. Yes, the order of elements matter in this one because of the sequence of how the code gets loaded on the page. It needs the input field, which has an id on it, to already be loaded onto the page when the plugin element loads so that it knows what html element to target. Not easy!

Hi thanks for the kind words. If I understand you correctly, a user is pasting a url from a picture? Or what is a clearer way to picture what is happening on your app? But if we take the example of a user pasting a url, then sure, they could do that and you would just take the value of that url and put it in to the same spot at the 5:45 mark. Hope that helps.

Hey thanks for your comment. First, Bubble is a great solution if you want to build what sounds like a SaaS app that offers summarization of UA-cam videos. To directly address converting yt video links to summary notes, you need the transcript to do send to AI to do that. If you can get the transcript then everything else you're thinking up is possible. How to get the transcript? I don't know frankly but here is how you find out -- use the setup show up until the 9:25 mark of this but do it for the developers.google.com/youtube/v3/docs/caption endpoint and see what it gives back. The thing to see is does UA-cam's API allow you to access the captions (the transcript basically) for videos that are not in your account but all publicly available videos? I don't know, but you could (a) go and try yourself or (b) you could pay someone who has experience in this area to help you. Good luck.
