Hello, everyone. I am Youn, and a certified tourguide of Korea. I am making UA-cam videos introducing and explaining Korean cultural heritages.
I hope my videos will be a valuable resource for those planning to travel to Korea. There's a saying, 'You only see what you know.' in Korea. This means that we can only recognize and remember things we are already aware of, but we might not remember things we are unfamiliar with, even if we see them a lot of times. So, I hope my videos make your trip to Korea even better.
Please subscribe my channel and I will give you useful knowledge of Korean culure, Korean history and all about Korea. Thank you all of you.

[KOREAN FOLKTALE] Shim Cheong : Self - Sacrifice for Father / Korean No. 1 forlktale
South Korea has long revered Confucianism as a governing ideology. As a result, 'filial piety' is regarded as the highest virtue here. In Korean folk tales, the character Shim Cheong is seen as the epitome of filial devotion. Let's all learn to love and respect our parents just like Shim Cheong. The story of Shim Cheong is considered to be the most beloved folktale in Korea :)

[KOREAN HERITAGES] SHOKING AND SAD!! THE FOLKLORE OF 'BELL OF KING SEONGDEOK'
Переглядів 2086 місяців тому
Hello, I'm Youn, a tour guide. In this video, I made a video of the divine bell of King Seongdeok, Korea's 29th national treasure, and a sad folklore about it. When I heard the legend when I was very young, I felt very sad and depressed. But people thought that the legend sounded like 'emile.' The sound of 'emile' is similar to the Korean word for mother, 'emmie.' It seems that this is why such...

Is this real or just a story ?
It's just myth of Korea So it's a story😆
Damn!! Thanx for the reply.. i was depressed lol
@shivamgogna3331 Thanks too 😁
Just 1 more question.. i searched on google and it shows many korean gods.. were there any real korean gods or they are all folklore
@@shivamgogna3331 In fact, Koreans have worshipped animals, just like people in other countries since prehistoric times. And they have worshipped objects such as the sun, moon, and rocks. There was no other Korean god.
Master young I don’t think South Koreans are proud of gyeongbokgung their actual own architecture. They don’t even want too restore it fully South Koreans should be gyrongbokgung is a masterpiece of architecture
I went too live in gangyeongjeon hall for the rest off my life. In the past in the northeast corner of gyeongbokgung their was JIMJIlBANG FOR THE KING
Gyeongbokgung palace is better then any architecture in the world the old gyeongbokgung before 1911although the cultural heritage administration has restored the palace incorrectly and has made mistakes in every rebuilt building.
Master youn when will gwolnaegaksa in gyeongbokgung be restored?
@@koreantourguideyoun3635 gwolnaegaksa too the west of geunjeongjeon wont be restored until probably 2028
@yokolee5243 You were right. It hasn't been restored yet. Only a part of it was restored. I'm sorry for the wrong information.
Master Youn Honestly if Korea was United it would have land for every building in the peninsula too be lower then Gwanghwamun and geunjeongjeon. It would have room for every building too be a hanok and korea would be like Europe. Known for its archeicture
I agree, Yoko😊 I hope so haha
Very nice. Indeed the problem with most religions today is that they are taught through speaking.
Thank you, sir for watching the video😊 I can't agree more with it. Because human tends to believe what they has continuously been taught about.
Sooo gangnyeongjeon hall is actually the palace. And not gyrongbokgung technically since it’s the residence
Yeas, it was the residence for the kings haha
@@koreantourguideyoun3635 master youn I want to live in gyeongbokgung forever leaving rarely
@yokolee5243 Hahaha I believe you are living in a better house. It's uncomfortable to live in Gyeongbokgung nowaday😂
@@koreantourguideyoun3635 no it is very comfortable I would live in it I just need some booze
That jewel balled on top represents the detailed woodwork archeicture of gyrongbokgung.
I agree, Yoko😁
The 1867 gyeongbokgung is not the same as the 1395 one the 1868 reconstructed one form heungseon daewongun is more of an englarged changdeokgung palace. The decorations of gyeongbokgung now is all from changdeokgung and the woodwork as well. The orignal gyeongbokgung would have been more detailed and grand. This palace is essentially a copy and paste of changdoekgung . Even changdeokgung probably is not exactly the same as before the imjin war. All the palaces now that we see are examples of the economically stagnant late Joseon.
😂
